THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT (CITY OF WELLINGTON’S OWN).
Major A. L. George, 1st Battalion, is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst holding the appointment of Officer Commanding, 1st Battalion. Dated 22nd July, 1940.

THE TARANAKI REGIMENT.
Lieutenant L. G. Westwood, 1st Battalion, resigns his commission. Dated 24th July, 1940.

Lieutenant J. C. Findlater, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 5th July, 1934, and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 23rd July, 1940.

Erick Charles Brenstrum to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st June, 1940.

Arthur Edward Davies to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 18th July, 1940.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 74, dated 18th July, 1940, relative to the transfer of Lieutenant W. H. Ellingham for “with seniority from 24th February, 1940,” substitute “with seniority from 27th August, 1938.”

THE NELSON, MARLBOROUGH, AND WEST COAST REGIMENT.
Lieutenant C. B. Beatson, 1st Cadet Battalion, is attached to the 1st Battalion (temporarily), with seniority from 1st June, 1940. Dated 25th July, 1940.

THE OTAGO REGIMENT.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain D. J. Brown, M.B., Ch.B.. ceases to be attached to the 2nd Field Company, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, and is attached to the 16th Anti-aircraft Battery, N.Z. Artillery. Dated 17th February, 1940.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) H. J. Barnicoat, M.B., Ch.B., is attached to the 10th Heavy Regiment, N.Z. Artillery. Dated 1st February, 1940.

Lieutenant A. B. Adams, M.B., Ch.B., is posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance. Dated 26th June, 1940.

Lieutenant I. A. Alexander, M.B., Ch.B., ceases to be attached to and is posted to the 2nd Field Ambulance. Dated 26th June, 1940.

The notices published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 75, dated 25th July, 1940, relative to Lieutenants C. R. Burns and R. A. Church are hereby cancelled and the following substituted :—

“Lieutenant C. R. Burns, M.D., Ch.B., M.R.C.P., Lond., is attached to the 2nd Composite Company, N.Z. Army Service Corps. Dated 26th June, 1940.

“Lieutenant R. A. Church, M.B., Ch.B., is attached to the 1st Battalion, The Wellington West Coast Regiment. Dated 26th June, 1940.”

(N.Z.), in the New Zealand Naval Forces as Surgeon-Lieutenant to date 1st August, 1940, and his appointment to H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, to date 1st August, 1940, to await passage to the United Kingdom for loan to the Royal Navy for a period of about one year.
