No. 1597 (Gazette 1919, page 1289—national-endowment provisional State forest, 1,735 acres), part of Provisional State Forest No. 1606 (Gazette 1920, page 2367—national-endowment provisional State forest 16,637 acres), part of Provisional State Forest No. 1609 (Gazette 1920, page 2838—national-endowment provisional State forest, 1,042 acres), part of Provisional State Forest No. 1694 (Gazette 1919, page 1283, ordinary provisional State forest, 12,173 acres), part of Provisional State Forest No. 1738 (Gazette 1935, page 1127—national-endowment provisional State forest, 280 acres), and Crown land 43,022 acres situated in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Mawheraiti Survey District, Blocks I, II, III, IV, VI, VII, VIII, and XII, Ahaura Survey District, Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, VII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, and XV, Pohaturoha Survey District, and Blocks I, II, and III, Haupiri Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 35, Block I, Ahaura Survey District, and proceeding along the eastern and the northern boundaries of said Section 35, the eastern boundary of Section 3042, and the southern and eastern boundaries of Sections 3590 and 3363 to a point on the eastern boundary of the latter section, 1600 links from its south-eastern corner; thence along a right line bearing 77° for 3600 links, and by a right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 2700; thence along the southern, eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of an area of Crown land (Gazette 1928, page 1862) to a road: thence along the south-eastern side of the said road to the southern boundary of Section 158; thence along that boundary and the western and southern boundaries of Section 3366 and a road reserve, and again by the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 3366 to the south-western boundary of Section 2905 and along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Section 3179 produced to the Waipuna Creek; thence in a southerly direction along the left bank of the said creek to the northern boundary of Block III, Ahaura Survey District; thence due west along the northern boundary of the said Block III, 1000 links; thence southerly by a line 1000 links from and parallel to the left bank of Waipuna and Mosquito Creeks to a point 14000 links south and 63800 links east of Trig. IN; thence along a right line 4200 links on a bearing 118°; thence northerly along a line 1000 links from and parallel to Cariboo and Mosquito Creeks to a point 3300 links bearing 189° from the most western corner of Section 2 Block III, Ahaura Survey District; thence along a line bearing 90° to the left bank of the Waipuna Creek and along the said creek bank to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 2; thence to and along that boundary to the southern boundary of Section 3 and along the said boundary of Section 3 and the southern boundary of Section 5 to the western boundary of Section 10; thence along that boundary and the south-western boundaries of Section 9, a road, and Sections 8, 7, and 6, Block IV, Ahaura Survey District, and the south-western, southern, and north-eastern boundaries of the afore-mentioned Section 5 to the southern boundary of Section 656; thence along the southern boundaries of Section 656, a road, and again by said southern boundary of Section 656 and the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block IV, Ahaura Survey District, to the most southern corner of the latter section; thence along a right line to the western-most corner of Section 3325, across a road, and along the south-western side of the said road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 3325; thence to and along the said south-eastern boundary produced to the left bank of the Grey River; thence along the said river bank to the western boundary of Miscellaneous License 1765; thence along the boundaries of the said miscellaneous license bearing 179° 30′ for 2400 links, bearing 72° for 3300 links, and bearing 141° for 1200 links to a road; thence along the south-western side of the said road and the south-western boundaries of the aforesaid Miscellaneous License 1765 and Section 2824; thence along the south-eastern boundaries of the said section and a road reserve, across the Clarke River, the south-eastern boundaries of Section 2824, a road reserve, and thence along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of said Section 2824 produced to the right bank of the Clarke River; thence along the said river bank and the left bank of the Grey River to a point opposite the western boundary of Section 3063, Block II, Pohaturoha Survey District; thence to and along that boundary and the southern and the eastern boundaries of the said section and the latter produced to the left bank of the Grey River; thence again along the said river bank to the western boundary of Pastoral License 1023 (Gazette 1931, page 1344); thence along that boundary and by the left bank of the Grey River to Paddy’s Creek and along the left bank of Paddy’s Creek to a point opposite the western boundary of Pastoral License 1033; thence in a southerly direction to and by the western boundary of the said license to the Tass River; thence along the left bank of the Tass River, the Nancy-Tass Saddle and the right bank of the Nancy River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2676, Block II, Haupiri Survey District; thence to and along that boundary, the northern boundary of Section 2676, a road reserve, across a creek, and again along the northern boundary of a road reserve, Section 2676 aforesaid, and the western boundary of said Section 2676 produced to the right bank of the Nancy River; thence by the said bank of the Nancy and the Ahaura Rivers to a point 800 links from the eastern side of the Ahaura-Kopara Road; thence along a line 800 links from and parallel to the eastern side of the said Ahaura-Kopara Road to the south-eastern corner of Section 2576; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 2576 and 3081, a road reserve, and again by the said boundary of Section 3081 and the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 3242; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 3241, a road reserve, and again along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 3241; thence along the north-eastern boundary of a road reserve across Safety Camp Creek, and along the north-eastern boundaries of a road reserve, and Sections 3240, 3239, and 3048; thence along the southern side of a road reserve and to and along the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 2375; thence along the north-eastern boundary of a road reserve, across Granite Creek, along the north-eastern boundary of a road reserve, and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 2375 to a point 20 chains distant from the eastern side of the Ahaura-Kopara Road; thence along lines bearing 334° for 12000 links, 298° 45′ for 11900 links, and 280° 15′ for 12400 links, to a point on the eastern boundary of Section 3102, Block VII, Ahaura Survey District, 2100 links from the northern side of the Ahaura-Kopara Road; thence along the said eastern boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Section 3102, the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 3101 and 3100, a road reserve, and Sections 3099 and 3098 to the most eastern corner of Section 3094; thence due east 15200 links due north through Napoleon Hill 2500 links, and westerly by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Section 3082; thence along the northern boundaries of the said Section 3082, a road reserve, and along the western side of the said road reserve; thence along the northern boundary of Section 2, Block II, Ahaura Survey District, and the eastern boundary of Section 3154A produced 4200 links; thence by a right line in a north-westerly direction to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the open slopes and tops of Mount Elliot Range and all roads.

Also all that area containing approximately 2,281 acres, being formerly part of Provisional State Forest No. 1606 (Gazette 1920, page 2367—national-endowment provisional State forest, 1,604 acres), and part of Provisional State Forest No. 1738 (Gazette 1935, page 1127—national-endowment provisional State forest, 677 acres), situated in Blocks VII, VIII, XI, and XII, Ahaura Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of Section 3246, Block VII, Ahaura Survey District, 2,000 links from the southern side of the Ahaura-Kopara Road, and proceeding generally south-easterly along lines bearing 100° 15′ for 11200 links, bearing 118° 45′ for 9800 links, and bearing 154° for 11600 links to a point on the north-western boundary of Section 2375, 2200 links from the western side of the Ahaura-Kopara Road; thence along the said north-western boundary of Section 2375 and its production to the right bank of the Ahaura River; thence along the said river bank to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 30; thence to and along the said boundary and the north-western boundary of the said Section 30 and its production to the right bank of the Ahaura River; thence along the said bank to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 31; thence to and along that boundary and the northern and western boundaries of said Section 31 and the latter produced to the right bank of the Ahaura River; thence again by the said river bank to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Ahaura Survey District; thence to and along that boundary and its production to the Ahaura River; thence by the right bank of the Ahaura River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 3246, to and along the said boundary to the point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 120/25, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Also all that area containing approximately 7,646 acres, being formerly part of Provisional State Forest No. 1606 (Gazette 1920, page 2367—national-endowment provisional State forest, 3,157 acres), part of Provisional State Forest No. 1607 (Gazette 1920, page 2838—national-endowment provisional State forest, 779 acres), and Crown land (3,710 acres), situated in Blocks III, IV, VII, VIII, and XII, Pohaturoha Survey District, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the intersection of Alexander River and the northern boundary of the Westland Land District, Block IV
