GALWAY, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for road; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road-diversion in connection with the Wellington-Foxton Railway.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 26·6 perches. Portion of Haukepua West Block.
Situated in Block V, Paekakariki Survey District, Hutt County. (S.O. 20447.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6153, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of July, 1940.

Change of Name of Locality “Pembroke” to “Wanaka.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS settlers in the locality known as “Pembroke,” in the County of Lake, desire that the name of such locality should be changed to “Wanaka,” and it is considered expedient to alter the same:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality known as “Pembroke,” in the County of Lake, shall be and the same is hereby altered to “Wanaka,” and do assign the last-mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty, not being earlier than six months after the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of February, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
All those areas in the Canterbury Land District, Waipara County, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Reserves 3075 and 3096, and situated respectively in Block V, Waitohi Survey District, and Block III, Waipara Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 128/20, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of July, 1940.
