Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Taumarunui County, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 2 roods 23 perches, more or less, and being Section 18, Block X, Ongarue Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 52/9, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan S.O. 30540.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of May, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Tauranga County, containing by admeasurement 1,243 acres 2 roods, more or less, and being Sections 28 and 29, Block IV, Katikati Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 26/34, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland plan S.O. 23202L.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of July, 1940.

Crown Lands in Wellington Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—CITY OF PALMERSTON NORTH.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 2 acres 0 roods 8-2 perches, more or less, being part of Rural Section 387, Township of Palmerston, and being the residue of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 31, folio 380, Wellington Registry, bounded : Towards the north-east by Lots 6 to 10 inclusive on D.P. 7244, 200 links and 300 links; towards the south-east by Lots 42, 39, 38, 37, and 36 on D.P. 7244, and by Lot 20 on D.P. 1868, 44-48 links, 364-4 links, and 1-6 links ; towards the south-west by Lots 19 and 18 on D.P. 3144, the abutment of Frederick Street, and by Lot 17 on D.P. 3114, 500 links ; and towards the north-west by another part of Rural Section 387, 409-85 links ; be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked L and S. 30/228/12A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £1,467 10s. by the Grey County Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 17th day of July, 1940.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL,

WHEREAS the Grey County Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1925, to borrow the sum of one thousand four hundred and sixty-seven pounds ten shillings (£1,467 10s.) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Loan, 1940” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of paying its portion of the cost of constructing the Barrytown Deviation on the Westport-Greymouth (Coast Road) Main Highway ;

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of one thousand four hundred and sixty-seven pounds ten shillings (£1,467 10s.), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be five (5) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding four pounds (£4) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.

(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this consent after the expiration of two years from the date hereof.
