Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture of Malt-extract.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been received from the following for licenses to continue in the industry of “the manufacture of malt-extract”—

(i) Hugh J. Kearns, Limited, Christchurch.
(ii) A. Murdoch and Co. (Dn.), Ltd., Dunedin.
(iii) Dunedin Brewery and Wilson Malt Extract Co., Ltd., Dunedin.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 25th July, 1940.

Manufacture of Storage Batteries.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from the Power Battery Company, Limited, Christchurch, for the consent of the Bureau to an extension of the company's license, so as to cover the manufacture of special Demiplante plates for train lighting.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 1st August, 1940.

C. J. Hansen, Bluff .. Declined an application on 18th December, 1939, for an Industrial Fishing License Granted in respect of set and drag nets and long and hand lines.
