✨ Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Areas
Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations
1939, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Marketing, being
satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area
of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such
area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of
bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land, defined as
aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the
purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in
the said Schedule, and I do hereby declare that this notice
shall take effect on the 25th day of July, 1940.
SCHEDULE.
PAHIATUA BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.
ALL that area of land situated within the Pahiatua and
Eketahuna Counties and bounded by a line commencing at
the point where the River Makakahi crosses the county
boundary in Block XIV, Mangahao Survey District; thence
continuing along the said river in a 'generally northerly
direction to the north-east corner of Section 91, Block XIV
aforesaid; thence along the northern boundary of the said
section to the Main Eketahuna-Pahiatua Road; thence
along the Eketahuna-Pahiatua Road in a generally southerly
direction to the Pahiatua County boundary; thence continuing along the said county boundary in a generally westerly direction to the point where the county boundary
is intersected by the Mangahao River in Block XIII, Mangahao Survey District; thence continuing up-stream along the
Mangahao River in a generally south-westerly direction to
its source, and thence in a straight line in a westerly direction
to the Eketahuna County boundary; thence continuing in a
north-easterly direction along the Eketahuna County
boundary to the point where it meets the Pahiatua County
boundary at the Arararu Trig. Station; thence along the
Pahiatua County boundary again in a generally north-easterly
direction to the point where the said county boundary meets
the boundary of the Woodville Pool in the northern corner
of the Pahiatua County; thence continuing around the
boundary of the Woodville Pool to again meet the Pahiatua
County boundary at the Ballance Bridge; thence continuing
along the said county boundary in a generally easterly and
then south-westerly and westerly direction to the point where
it is intersected by the River Makakahi in Block XIV,
Mangahao Survey District, being the original point of commencement.

crosses the Egmont Forest Reserve boundary in the eastern
portion of Block III, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence
from this point continuing in a generally south-westerly
direction along the Forest Reserve boundary to the north-western corner of Section E.R. 6, Block VII, Kaupokonui
Survey District; thence continuing in a southerly direction
along the western boundaries of Sections E.R. 6, 7, and 8,
Block VII aforesaid; thence in an easterly direction along
the southern boundary of the said Section 8, Block VII,
Kaupokonui Survey District, to the Manaia Road; thence
along the Manaia Road in a southerly direction to the junction
of the said road with the Opunake Road; thence along the
Opunake Road in a north-easterly direction to the north-eastern corner of Section 28, Block VII, Kaupokonui Survey
District; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern
boundary of the said Section 28; thence in an easterly
direction along the southern boundary of Section 29, Block
VII aforesaid; thence in a southerly direction again along
the western boundaries of Sections 35 and 36, Block VII
aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Section 36;
thence from this point taking a straight line across country
and through Section 37, Block VII aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Section 107, Block XI, Kaupokonui Survey
District; thence continuing in a southerly direction along
the western boundaries of Sections 107, 108, 109, and 110;
Block XI aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said
Section 110; thence along the southern boundary of the said
Section 110 to the north-eastern corner of Section 111, Block
XI aforesaid; thence in a southerly direction along the
eastern boundaries of Sections 111 and 112, Block XI aforesaid; thence along the southern boundaries in a generally
westerly direction of Sections 112, 79, 78, and 77, Block XI
aforesaid, to the north-western corner of Section 2s, Parkes
Settlement, Block XI aforesaid; thence in a southerly
direction along the western boundaries of Sections 2s, 3s,
4s, 5s, 6s, 7s, Parkes Settlement, and Section 120, Block XI
aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Section 120;
thence along the southern boundary of the said Section 120
to the north-western corner of Section 6, Block XV,
Kaupokonui Survey District; thence in a southerly direction
along the western boundary of the said Section 6; thence
in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of
Section 8, Block XV aforesaid; thence in a generally
southerly direction along the western boundaries of
Sections 8, 10, 12, and 13, Block XV aforesaid, to the south-western corner of the said Section 13; thence along the
southern boundary of the said Section 13 in an easterly
direction to the north-western corner of Section 20, Block XV
aforesaid; thence in a southerly direction along the western
boundary of the said Section 20; thence in an easterly
direction along the southern boundary of the said Section 20
to Palmer Road; thence along Palmer Road in a southerly
direction to the junction of the said Palmer Road with Skeet
Road; thence continuing along Skeet Road to the north-western corner of Section 34, Block XVI, Kaupokonui
Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the
western boundary of the said Section 34; thence in an
easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said
Section 34 to the western boundary of Section 40, Block XVI
aforesaid; thence continuing along the western boundary of
the said Section 40 in a southerly direction to the south-western corner of the said section; thence in an easterly
direction along the southern boundaries of Sections 40, 41,
42, 43, 44, 45, and 46, Block XVI, Kaupokonui Survey District,
to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 46; thence
along the eastern boundary of the said Section 46 in a
northerly direction to the south-western corner of Section 52,
Block XVI aforesaid; thence along the southern boundary
of the said Section 52 in an easterly direction; thence along
the eastern boundary of the said Section 52 in a northerly

Normanby–Eltham Railway-line; thence along the
Normanby–Eltham Railway-line in a southerly direction to
the point where the said railway-line crosses the junction of
Onewhaia and Boylan Roads at the western corner of Section
67, Block I, Hawera Survey District; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section 67 to the southern
corner of the said section; thence in a north-easterly direction
along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 67, 66, and 65,
Block I aforesaid, to the Tawiti North Road; thence
along the Tawiti North Road in a north-westerly direction
to its junction with Boylan Road; thence along the southern
boundaries of Blocks XIII and XIV, Ngare Survey District,
to Fraser Road; thence along Fraser Road in a generally
northerly direction to the western corner of Section 35,
Block XIV, Ngare Survey District; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Section 35 in a south-easterly
direction; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 35
and 34, Block XIV aforesaid, to the southern boundary of
Section 17, Block XV, Ngare Survey District; thence in
an easterly direction along the southern boundaries of
Sections 17 and 18, Block XV aforesaid, to the Tiromoana
Road; thence in a southerly direction along the said road
to the south-western corner of Section 19, Block XV aforesaid;
thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 19, 16, 15,
14, and 25, Block XV aforesaid, in a generally easterly
direction to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 25;
