Notice respecting proposed Alteration of Boundaries—Borough of Foxton.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 19th June, 1940.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Foxton and included in the County of Manawatu.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF FOXTON AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF MANAWATU.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded on the north, east, and south generally by the boundary of the Borough of Foxton from the easternmost corner of Section 313, Township of Foxton, to the eastern side of Nye Street; thence along the production of the eastern side of Nye Street to the north-eastern side of Union Street; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Union Street to the south-eastern boundary of Section 215, Township of Foxton; thence along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 215; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 2804, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 11 aforesaid to Cook Street; thence by a right line across Cook Street to the south-eastern corner of Lot 12, D.P. 2804 aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 12 aforesaid, Section 514, the abutment of a road, Section 493, Township of Foxton, and Lot 1, D.P. 10437, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence by a right line across “The Avenue” to the north-western side of Spring Street; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of Spring Street aforesaid to the easternmost corner of Section 313, Township of Foxton, the place of commencement.
