Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 25th June, 1940.
THE following notice, received from the Chairman, Waimarino County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

COUNTY OF WAIMARINO.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give public notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Parapara Riding of the County of Waimarino taken on the 20th day of June, 1940, on the proposal of the Waimarino County Council to borrow the sum of £500, for the purpose of forming, culverting, and metalling of the Ohotu–Karioi Road from the end of the present metal eastwards to give access to the homestead on Section 1, Block II, Ngamatea Survey District :—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 29
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was Nil.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Notice under the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939.

NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby direct and require as follows :—
(1) No person shall, after the 1st July, 1940, engage in the manufacture of any of the timber materials specified in the Schedule hereto except with the precedent consent of the Timber Controller.
(2) No person shall, after the 1st July, 1940, engage in the business of selling any of the said timber materials to purchasers requiring them for their own use except with the precedent consent of the Timber Controller.
(3) Every person who requires any of the said timber materials for his own use in the year commencing on the 1st July, 1940, shall before that date supply a return to the Timber Controller, Box 1, Government Buildings, Wellington, showing—
(a) The quantity of each class of the said timber materials which he estimates that he will require for the 1940–41 season ;
(b) The quantity of each class of the said timber materials used by him during the 1939–40 season and stocks thereof on hand at the 1st June, 1940 ;
(c) The person from whom he purchased the said timber materials during the 1939–40 season, the quantities purchased, and the prices paid therefor.
(4) Every person who desires to engage in the business of selling to users any of the said timber materials after the 1st July, 1940, shall, before that date, supply a return to the Timber Controller, Box 1, Government Buildings, Wellington, showing—
(a) The quantity of each class of the said timber materials which he so sold during the 1939–40 season ;
(b) The names and addresses of the persons to whom he sold the said timber materials during the 1939–40 season, the quantity of each class of the said timber materials sold to each person, and the prices received therefor ;
(c) The name of the boxmaker, sawmiller, or other person from whom he purchased the said timber materials during the 1939–40 season, together with the quantities of each class so purchased and the prices paid therefor ;
(d) The stocks of each class of the said timber materials held by him at the 1st June, 1940.

SCHEDULE.
The timber materials referred to in this notice are—
(a) Export cheese crates ;
(b) Export apple cases ;
(c) Local sales apple cases ;
(d) Export pear cases ;
(e) Local sales pear cases.

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby varies the notice dated the 14th day of January, 1931, and published in Gazette No. 7 of the 23rd day of the same month at page 163, declaring the Wainui Reserve and other lands to be subject to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936), by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

LANDS SITUATE IN THE WAIARIKI NATIVE LAND COURT DISTRICT.
ALL that piece of land, containing 4 acres 2 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part of Allotments 245 and 312, and part of Small Grazing-run No. 6 of the Parish of Waimana.
All that piece of land, containing 3 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 4 on deposited plan 12843, being part of Allotments 245 and 312, and part of Small Grazing-run No. 6 of the Parish of Waimana.

Unclaimed Lands.—Notice by the Public Trustee under the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its Amendments.

TO HUGH REA, at one time of Cambridge, Barman, but now of parts unknown, or to other the person (or persons) being the owner of or claiming through the said Hugh Rea ownership in that parcel of land situate in the Town of Waihou, near Te Aroha, containing 12 perches, more or less, being Lot 57 on Deposited Plan No. 60, Auckland Registry, and being part of a block situated at Te Aroha called Te Kapara No. 3503 on a subdivision called Township of Waihou, and being also the whole of the land in Certificate of Title, Vol. 25, folio 130 (Auckland Registry) : Whereas after due inquiry the said owner or claimant cannot be found : And whereas the said owner or claimant has no known agent in New Zealand : Now, the Public Trustee hereby calls on such owner or claimant within six months from the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette to establish to the satisfaction of the Public Trustee his title to the said parcel of land and if such owner or claimant fails or neglects so to do the Public Trustee will exercise with regard to the said parcel of land the powers and authorities granted to the Public Trustee in and by the Public Trust Office Act, 1908 (Part II), and its amendments.
