ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
———
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eleven thousand pounds (£11,000), authorized to be raised by the One Tree Hill Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for widening the Great South Road between Campbell and Waiohua Roads to a total width of 80 ft., the said One Tree Hill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-seventh pence (1⅐d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of One Tree Hill ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of an extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the One Tree Hill Borough Council held on Wednesday, 24th January, 1940.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
———
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the formation of a road—for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Huntly Borough Council, Huntly.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

Approximate areas of the pieces of land required to be taken :—

1 3 34·2 Lot 2 of Allotment 366, Taupiri Parish ; coloured yellow.

Situated in Block V, Hapuakohe Survey District.
All in the County of Waikato, Registration District of Auckland, and shown on Survey Office plan No. 30056, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore carried on at Gisborne between ALICE GEORGINA SHERRATT, LEONARD THOMAS BURNARD, and WILLIAM HAWKER WILLIAMS, under the firm name of Williams and Sherratt was dissolved by mutual consent on the 28th day of February, 1939.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Taranaki proposes to provide land as an addition to a school-site and for such purpose requires to take all that piece of land in the Taranaki Land District containing by admeasurement one rood one perch, more or less, being Section 4, Block 2, Town of Midhirst West, Block 13, Huiroa Survey District, and bounded towards the north-east by Section 5, 205 links ; towards the south-east by Section 12, 125 links ; towards the south-west by Section 3, 205 links ; and towards the north-west by Erin Street, 125 links.
And also all that piece of land situate as aforesaid containing by admeasurement one rood nine perches, more or less, being Section 6, Block 2, Town of Midhirst West, Block 13, Huiroa Survey District, and bounded towards the north-east by Section 7, 145 links ; towards the south-east by Section 15, 158·5 links, and by Section 14, 23 links ; towards the south-west by Section 5, 205 links ; and towards the north-west by Erin Street, 172·9 links.
A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Midhirst Dairy Company, Limited, Midhirst.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said work or to the taking of the said lands and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice on the 31st day of January, 1940, to the Education Board of the District of Taranaki at its office in Lemon Street in the Town of New Plymouth.
