IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders in the above-named company duly convened and held on the 29th day of January, 1940, the following special resolution was passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1933, applicable to a members voluntary winding up, and that DULCIE LINDSAY BELL, be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

WAIMATE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

I HEREBY certify that the following resolution was passed at a meeting of the Waimate Borough Council held on Monday, the 11th December, 1939, at 8.25 p.m.

Moved by Councillor Paul seconded by Councillor Fitch—

“That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Waimate Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: ‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimate Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of laying an additional main from the reservoir to the township, re-laying part of the existing main from the intake to the reservoir, improving the reticulation in the Borough, and providing measuring appliances, the said Waimate Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence and one farthing (3¼d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the said Borough, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.’ ”—Carried.
