INCORPORATED SOCIETIES ACT, 1908.

DECLARATION BY THE ASSISTANT REGISTRAR DISSOLVING SOCIETIES.

I, ERNEST CLAUDE ADAMS, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Southern Hawke’s Bay Herd Testing Association (Incorporated), the Wairoa County Group Herd Testing Association (Incorporated), the Heretaunga Group Herd Testing Association (Incorporated), and the Pioneer Wrestling Club of Hawke’s Bay (Incorporated), are no longer carrying on their operations, the aforesaid societies are hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD-WIDENING IN DACRE TOWNSHIP.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Southland County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a public work—namely, the widening of the Rakaiauha-Dacre Main Highway where it joins the Invercargill-Dunedin State Highway on the northern side of the latter—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited at the office of the Southland County Council in Tay Street, near Nith Street, Invercargill, and is there open for inspection by all persons (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands or any of them who have any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands or any of them must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty days of the date of this notice (being the day of the first publication thereof) to the Southland County Council at its office in Tay Street, Invercargill, aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

(1) All that piece of land situated in the Town of Dacre, containing 7·1 poles, be the same a little more or less, being that part of Section 9 of Block XIII on the public map of the said town, shown on the plan hereinbefore mentioned and therein coloured pink, of which piece of land Patrick Peter Scully, of Dacre, Farmer, is the registered proprietor.

(2) All that piece of land situated in the Town of Dacre containing 7·1 poles, be the same a little more or less, being that part of Section 20 of Block XII on the public map of the said town, shown on the plan hereinbefore mentioned and thereon coloured blue, of which piece of land Mark Harris and William McLennan, of Dacre, Contractors, are the registered proprietors.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public road—for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid lies open to public inspection at the office of Messieurs Swarbrick and Swarbrick, Solicitors, Argus Buildings, Victoria Street, Hamilton.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the first publication of this notice.

All of which pieces of land are situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District, and are delineated coloured as aforesaid on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, under No. 30454.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, section 20 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1935, section 9 of the Local Legislation Act, 1938, and the Waipa County Loans Conversion Order, 1939, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities, authorized to be issued by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Acts and Order, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate on a uniform scale of 3¾d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within that area of its district which was formerly comprised in the Tua Tua Moana Drainage District immediately prior to the abolition of that district, as described in New Zealand Gazette of 16th March, 1916, at page 788, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 31st day of July, 1974, or until such securities are all fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 22nd day of January, 1940.
