A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in Waikohu Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as road :—

Situated in Block IV, Waikohu Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1596, brown.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105426, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of January, 1940.

Notice altering the Boundaries of the Otago Mining District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette alter the boundaries of the Otago Mining District by including therein all that area of land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing 21 acres 1 rood 19 poles, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2, Block XIX, Section 7, Block XXXIV, part Section 1, Block XLIV, and part Eureka Street, Town of Alexandra, bounded: Towards the north-west by Town Belt and Section 3, Block XIX, 2590·2 links; towards the north-east and north-west by Section 9, Block XXXV, 160·3 links, 142·1 links, and 600 links; again towards the east by a right line bearing 358° 13′ 1030·8 links to Eureka Street, the crossing of Eureka Street 144·9 links, towards the south-east by a public street 387·3 links, again towards the south-west, south-east, south-west and south-east by Crown lands 528·1 links, 176·9 links, 910·1 links, 135·1 links, 257·9 links, 758·9 links, and 661·5 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked Mines N. 10/12/35, deposited in the Head Office, Mines Department, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of January, 1940.

Consenting to the Establishment and Maintenance of an Aerodrome by the Wairoa Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day of January, 1940.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act, 1929, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the acquisition by the Wairoa Harbour Board of the land described in the Schedule hereto and to the establishment and maintenance by the said Board of an aerodrome thereon.

SCHEDULE.

LAND REGISTRATION DISTRICT OF HAWKE’S BAY, BLOCK I, CLYDE SURVEY DISTRICT.

PARTS Paeroa 1E 4, 1E 6, 1E 7A, 1E 7B 1, 1E 7B 2, 1E 9, 1E 10, and public road (to be closed) adjoining Paeroa 1E 7A, 1E 7B 1, 1E 7B 2, 1E 9, 1E 10, and Lot 2, D.P. 5063 : Area, 209 acres and 2 perches, more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked 105818, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow, orange, purple, blue, and green.

Cancelling the Reservation over Part of a Reserve in Hautapu Survey District, Wellington Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 25th day of January, 1940.

Present:

THE HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for a site for roadman’s whare over the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing by admeasurement 38·5 perches, more or less, being part of Section 27, Block VI, Hautapu Survey District, bounded: Towards the north and east by public roads 158·3 and 158·3 links, and towards the south and west by part of Lot 2 of Section 26, Block VI, Hautapu Survey District, 157·9 and 146·9 links ; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/285A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
