Declaring a Portion of Railway Land between Glen Eden and Henderson to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 rood 0·88 perches. Part of Railway land, Proclamation 9879.

Situated in Block II, Titirangi Survey District, Waitemata County. (S.O. 29965.)

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5554, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1940.

Additional Land at Palmerston North taken for the Purposes of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway (Palmerston North Deviation).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Palmerston North Deviation of the Wellington–New Plymouth Railway to take further land at Palmerston North in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

7 1 8·6 Part Lot 3, D.P. 256, of Section 422.
9 3 12·7 Part Lot 4, D.P. 256, of Section 422.
Township of Palmerston.

Situated in Block X, Kairanga Survey District, Kairanga County. (S.O. 20436.)

In the Wellington Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5989, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered orange.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of January, 1940.
