Declaring Lands in the Marlborough and Canterbury Land Districts to be subject to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section to enable certain readjustment of leases and licenses to be carried into effect:

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of the said section:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the said section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

SCHEDULE.

MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.

All that area containing by admeasurement 914 acres, more or less, being Section 2, Block XII, Hundalee Survey District. And also all that area containing 775 acres, more or less, being Section 3, Block XIII, Hundalee Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked 570/4, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim.

Amending Order in Council delegating Powers under the Cemeteries Act, 1908.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.

Present:

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke, in so far as it relates to the Brighton Cemetery, the Order in Council delegating powers under the said Act, made on the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four, and published in the Gazette on the third day of May of the same year, at page 1217.

Amending Order in Council delegating Powers under the Cemeteries Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke, in so far as it relates to the Ormond Cemetery, the Order in Council delegating powers under the said Act, made on the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-first day of the same month, at page 2429.
