OTOROHANGA TOWN BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the minutes of a general meeting of the Otorohanga Town Board held in the board room on Tuesday, 21st May, 1940, at 7.30 p.m.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otorohanga Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing sewerage facilities within the Otorohanga Town District, the said Otorohanga Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Otorohanga Town District on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and to be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that this extract from the minutes of the above meeting of the Otorohanga Town Board is true and correct in every particular.
