Commissioners of the Supreme Court appointed.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned members of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force whose names are set forth in the first and second parts of the Schedule hereto, have this day been appointed by the Honourable Mr. Justice Ostler, a Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, to be and act as Commissioners of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in any country or place beyond the jurisdiction of the said Court under the 47th section of the Judicature Act, 1908, for the purpose of administering and taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations, as in the said section mentioned.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman Tuakau Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926.

Road Improvement Loan, 1940, Β£1,000.
In accordance with the provisions of section 13 (1) of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers on a proposal to raise a special loan of Β£1,000 for reconstructing and sealing certain roads and footpaths in the Tuakau Town District was taken on the 22nd May, 1940. The number of votes recorded for and against the proposal was as follows:

The number of votes against the proposal was .. 15
Total .. .. .. .. 79
I therefore declare the proposal to have been carried.
