Appointment of Assistant Public Trustee.

THE following Warrant, appointing an Assistant Public Trustee, is published for general information.
Dated at Wellington, this 31st day of May, 1940.

Greeting.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1917, as amended by section fourteen of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf me enabling, I, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion do hereby appoint you the said Clarence James Playne

to be an Assistant Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, with all the powers, privileges, and duties appertaining thereto, to hold office on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty, during the pleasure of the Governor-General in Council.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable George Vere Arundell Monckton-Arundell, Viscount Galway, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order, Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and forty.

John Richard McCrae, of Clevedon,

to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes of Part I of the first-mentioned Act.

IT it hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and Documents Act, 1919, appointed

Alfred Hasshill Boswell-Browell, of Waitawheta,

to be an Officer for the purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of the Auckland Acclimatization District.

Promotion in the New Zealand Naval Forces.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following promotion and appointment in the New Zealand Naval Forces :—

Owen Roland James Skyrme, Petty Officer Writer, N.Z.D. 1245, promoted to the rank of Acting Warrant Writer in the New Zealand Naval Forces, to date 1st May, 1940, and appointed to H.M.S. “Achilles” additional (temporarily), to date 1st May, 1940, for general duties.

to be a member of the Mangatainoka Domain Board in place of Nicholas Power, resigned.

to be a member of the Mackenzie Domain Board in place of George Telfer, resigned.

Percival Ceil Fraser

to be a member of the Retaruke Domain Board in place of Sidney Devlin, left the district.

Puataata Alfred Grace

to be a member of the Tokaanu Domain Board in place of Hiri Mariu, absent from three consecutive meetings without the consent of the Board.
