IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere
Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the
portions of road in Aw hitu Survey District described in the
Schedule hereto.

107022, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day
of May, 1940.

sentation on the Wairarapa Electric-power Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day of
May, 1940.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the
Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and of every other
power in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby add portion of
the County of Castlepoint as a constituent district of the
Wairarapa Electric - power District, and doth hereby
determine that on or after the dates of the next general
elections of the representatives of the constituent districts
of the Wairarapa Electric-power Board the number of repre-
sentatives of each constituent district on the Wairarapa
Electric-power Board shall be the number specified in the
Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district ;
and doth further determine that the constituent districts
which are bracketed together in the first column of the
Schedule hereto are hereby constituted a combined district
for the purposes of the said Act, and that the principal local
authority of such combined district shall be the local autho-
rity of the constituent district distinguished in the first
column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “ (p.)”

Appointing a Person to act as Clerk of the Local Authority
for Waiheke Island.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 22nd day
of May, 1940.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities
vested in him by the Valuation of Land Act, 1925, and
its amendments, and Regulation No. 13 made on the twenty-
third day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one,
and gazetted on the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-one, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Albert William Alonzo Sweetman
to act as clerk of the local authority for Waiheke Island
(outlying portion) for the purpose of carrying out the duties
imposed upon the clerk of a local authority by subclauses
1 to 12 of Regulation 21A under the Valuation of Land Act,
1925, and its amendments, made on the twenty-fourth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and
gazetted on the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-eight.
