A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to
be constructed over Block X, Rangaunu Survey District—viz.,
a deviation of the Awanui-Kaingaroa Main Highway—shall
be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I
do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that
land situated within a distance of two chains from the
northern side and five chains from the southern side of the said
middle-line.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in Awanui Village being the junction
of the Waipapakauri-Victoria Valley Main Highway and the
Awanui-Kaingaroa Main Highway, and proceeding in an
easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately
24 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following
lands, &c.—viz., Section I, Block X, Rangaunu Survey
District, and portions of Old Land Claims 159 and 315—
including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses : all in
the North Auckland Land District. As the same is
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 107620, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of
May, 1940.

City of Christchurch described in the Schedule hereto.

Being part Lot 10, D.P. 1567, being part Rural Section 72.
Situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106293,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
