HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the appointment of Commander Arthur Bruce Welch, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand) (retired), to H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for duty as District Intelligence Officer, Port Chalmers, in continuation of former appointment, and as Naval Control Service Officer, Port Chalmers, to date 7th February, 1940 (to serve in the rank of Lieutenant-Commander.)
