Colonel I. T. Standish, C.M.G., D.S.O., Retired List, is reappointed to the Active List and is attached to the Adjutant-General’s Branch, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 15th April, 1940.

N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 3, dated 25th January, 1940, relative to the appointment of Lieutenant G. McCallum, B.D.S. (N.Z.), is cancelled and the following substituted:—

“Lieutenant G. McCallum, B.D.S. (N.Z.), N.Z. Dental Corps, to be Lieutenant, is appointed Principal Dental Officer, Trentham Military Camp, dated 23rd October, 1939, and is granted the temporary rank of Captain, dated 13th December, 1939.”

COMMANDS.

Major R. Fraser, 2nd Cadet Battalion, The Otago Regiment, is appointed to command the 1st Battalion temporarily, vice Lieutenant-Colonel J. M. Samson seconded for duty with the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 2nd April, 1940.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) G. R. Powles, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command the 19th Medium Battery temporarily, vice Major A. V. Jenkins seconded for duty with the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 5th April, 1940.

THE OTAGO MOUNTED RIFLES.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18 of the 7th March, 1940, relative to the appointment of Hon. Lieutenant (Bandmaster) L. B. Borrow, for “Leslie Burton Borrow” substitute “Leslie Bertram Borrow.”

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
