Douglas Westwood Earle to be Lieutenant, N.Z. Dental Corps, and is appointed Dental Officer, Trentham Military Camp. Dated 9th March, 1940.

William McGregor Cunningham, B.D.S. (N.Z.), to be Lieutenant, N.Z. Dental Corps, and is appointed Dental Officer, Burnham Military Camp. Dated 11th March, 1940.

Carl Eric Moller, B.D.S. (N.Z.), to be Lieutenant, N.Z. Dental Corps, and is appointed Dental Officer, Burnham Military Camp, Dated 11th March, 1940.

COMMANDS.

Lieutenant-Colonel R. Wyman, D.S.O., V.D., The Waikato Mounted Rifles, is appointed to command the Regiment temporarily, vice Captain (temporary Major) W. J. Collins, M.M., seconded for duty with the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 26th February, 1940.

Major B. A. Norman, The Manawatu Mounted Rifles, relinquishes command of the Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 6. Dated 29th February, 1940.

Lieutenant (temporary Captain) G. S. Peren, The Manawatu Mounted Rifles, is appointed to command the Regiment temporarily, and is granted the acting rank of Major. Dated 1st March, 1940.

Major W. F. Shirer, M.B., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, ceases to be attached to the 17th Medium Battery, N.Z.A., is appointed to command the 2nd Field Ambulance, vice Lieutenant-Colonel F. M. Spencer, E.D., M.B., Ch.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, seconded for duty with the 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 29th February, 1940.

THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 18, dated 7th March, 1940, relative to the transfer of Lieutenant White, D.C.M., for “Lieutenant C. S. White, D.C.M.” substitute “Lieutenant C. N. White, D.C.M.”

Malcolm Cort Astley to be 2nd Lieutenant (temporary) and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 16th December, 1939.

THE WAIKATO REGIMENT.

Lieutenant H. J. Haigh, from the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 7th December, 1937, and is posted to the 2nd Cadet Battalion. Dated 21st February, 1940.

THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.

Lieutenant C. C. Marsack, from the Reserve of Officers, Supplementary List, to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 12th September, 1937, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 8th February, 1940.

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.

Major O. F. Baker, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Major, with seniority from 22nd February, 1939, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 11th March, 1940.

Captain G. Burns, from the Reserve of Officers, to be Captain, with seniority from 18th September, 1938, and is posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 24th February, 1940.
