HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 17.
Dunedin-Duke's Road Railway-station.-All those roads or portions of roads in the East Taieri Survey District of Taieri County, commencing at the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block XIV, and proceeding in a south-westerly direction along the old Dunstand Road to the north-western corner of Section 9, Block IX, then continuing along the road on the southern boundaries of Irregular Block and Block XV, to the south-western corner of Section 6, Block XV; proceeding thence in a south-easterly direction along Gordon Road, and terminating at its junction with the Mosgiel-Middlemarch-Dunback Main Highway at the south-western corner of Section 6, Block X, being a distance of 4 miles 3 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106590, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section four of the Nurses and Midwives Registration Act, 1925, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Emily May Nutsey to be a member of the Nurses and Midwives Registration Board under the aforesaid Act as from the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 28th day of February, 1940.

P URSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Lands temporarily reserved in the North Auckland and Canterbury Land Districts.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve the lands in the North Auckland and Canterbury Land Districts described in the Schedule hereunder written for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in Mangonui County containing by admeasurement 4 acres 0 roods 29 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 7, Block VIII, Opoe Survey District, bounded: Commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 8 on D.P. 27209, being a subdivision of Maxwell's Grant, in a westerly direction generally along a public road for a distance of 824·6 links and 100 links; thence along right lines bearing 51° 56' distance 669·6 links; bearing 356° 19' distance 538·7 links; bearing 86° 20' distance 368·4 links, to the western boundary of Lot 8 on D.P. 27209 aforesaid: and thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Lot 8 aforesaid, to the south-western corner of that lot, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/615A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
All that area containing by admeasurement l acre, more or less, being part Rural Section 4752, Block VII, Selwyn Survey District, bounded as follows: Towards the south-west by the Hororata-Dunsandel Road, 312·5 links; towards the north-west, north-east, and south-east by other part of Rural Section 4752 aforesaid, 320 links, 312·5 links, and 320 links respectively. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/758B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
