Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Little River Domain.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.
Present:
THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
William Hugh Montgomery,
James Openshaw Coop,
Walter Fox Parkinson,
Henzel Lowther Lewthwaite,
Anson Vernon McKenzie Hutchinson,
Edwin Lindemann Breitmeyer, and
James Viles Chapman
to be the Little River Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at half past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Coronation Library, Little River, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

LITTLE RIVER DOMAIN.—CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 6 acres 3 roods 12·4 perches, being part of Lot 4, Block III, of Native Reserve 887, situated in Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey District, and Block II, Akaroa Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Lot 3B of Block III of Native Reserve 887, 861·8 links; towards the south-east by the main road to Akaroa, 679·2 links and 409·8 links; towards the south-west by other part of the said Lot 4, 392·3 links; and towards the north-west by Western Valley Road, 1073·4 links and 39·7 links.
Reserve 3729, Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 3 acres 2 roods 6 perches, more or less.
Reserve 1649, Block XIII, Pigeon Bay Survey District: Area, 62 acres 2 roods, more or less.
Reserve 4128, Block II, Akaroa Survey District: Area, 1 rood 2·7 perches, more or less.

Varying the Determinations in respect of the Timaru Borough Council’s Loan of £55,400.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twentieth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New Zealand by the Timaru Borough Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum of fifty-five thousand four hundred pounds (£55,400) by a loan to be known as “Waterworks Renewal Loan, 1940” (hereinafter called “the said loan”):
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in Council has not yet been exercised and it is expedient to vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by prescribing that in lieu of repayment by the annual redemption of debentures of the amounts set out in the Schedule in the said Order in Council the said loan shall be repaid from revenue by the annual redemption of debentures in the years set out in the first column of the Schedule hereunder of not less than the respective amounts stated opposite each year in the second column of the said Schedule:

The Northern Side of Portion of Trent Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.
Present:
THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Wellington City Council on the fourth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, viz.:
“That the Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that part of the northern side of Trent Street fronting Lot 436, Deeds Plan 127”;
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the northern side of the portion of Trent Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-five feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.
THE northern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, City of Wellington, known as Trent Street, fronting Lot 436, Deeds Plan 127, being part Section 8, Town of Wellington. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106025, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
