to be Registrar of the Land and Titles Court for the purposes of section 44 of the Native Land and Titles Protection Ordinance, 1934, and Deputy Registrar of the High Court for the purposes of section 69 of the Samoa Act, 1921, on and from the 5th day of August, 1940.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Maeroa Water-supply Special Rating Area taken on the 15th November, 1940, on the proposal of the Waipa County Council to borrow £5,750, for the purpose of providing a water-supply in the said area:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was ... 35
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was ... 8
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

The Sharebrokers Act, 1908.-Amendment to Rules of the Wellington Stock Exchange.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to approve the following amendment to the rules of the Wellington Stock Exchange.
W. NASH, Minister of Stamp Duties.
RULE 10 : Add the following as subsection (a):-
For the purpose of determining whether or not the quorum required by any of the rules of the Exchange for any purpose is present at any meeting or has voted in any ballot the total number of members of the Exchange shall not include any member who is absent from any meeting or has not voted in any ballot in consequence of serving with any of His Majesty's Forces or being otherwise unable to be present or vote in any ballot on account of war work. If any question shall arise as to whether any member is or is not to be counted a member of the Exchange for the purposes of this rule such question shall be determined by the Chairman of the meeting or ballot concerned and his decision shall be final and binding.
The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.-Notice fixing Prices of Certain Grades.
Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 10th December, 1940.
Pursuant to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons of fancy grade and commercial grade respectively delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices are fixed on an average basic price of 8s. 3d. for sufficient fruit which when cured will pack a bushel case.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 16th December to 31st December, 1940:-
Loose packed fresh lemons, Fancy Grade ... 6 0
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade ... 5 0
