HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Rural Housing Loan.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Hawera County Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing interest, instal-
ments of principal, and other charges on a loan of £5,000,
authorized to be raised by the Hawera County Council
under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of making advances to farmers for the
erecting of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939,
the said Hawera County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one twenty-ninth of a penny in
the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property of the whole of
the County of Hawera (outlying district); and that
such special rate shali be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 8th day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being for a period of twenty
years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing the principal,
interest, and other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorized
to be raised by Mackenzie County Council under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing a
dwelling for use by the County Engineer the said
Mackenzie County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of eleven one-thousandths of a penny (.011d.)
in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the capital value) of all rateable property of the County
of Mackenzie comprising the whole of the County of
Mackenzie; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the curiency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty years from the lst day of December,
1940, or until the loan is fully paid off."

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership existing
between GEORGE MAW, MARK MAW, LESLIE ROBERT
MAW, and EDWARD GEORGE MAW, as Threshing-machine
Proprietors, at Southbridge, has been dissolved as from the
lst August, 1940.

THE MUSIC TEACHERS REGISTRATION ACT, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that elections, in terms of the
regulations, were held on Wednesday, 27th November,
1940, to elect members of the Board in each of the four
districts; those elected coming into office in April, 1941.
Votes were recorded as stated below :-

Auckland District: Phillips, S. K., 92; Moore, I. W., 53;
Apthorp, E. H., 30.

I therefore declare S. K. Phillips and I .W. Moore duly
elected.

Wellington District: Short, G., 89; Oliver, S., 60; White,
H. T., 60; Runnicles, J. H., 49.

By reason of an equality of votes, H. T. White was elected
by lot in the presence of the Director of Education, in terms
of Regulation 27.

I therefore declare G. Short and H. T. White duly elected.

Canterbury District: Bradshaw, J. C., 38; Barnes, L. C.,
24; Vine, A. W. V., 16.

I therefore declare J. C. Bradshaw and L. C. Barnes duly
elected.

Otago District: Martin, C. A., 38; Scherek, M., 34;

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute a certain public work-to wit, the
formation of a road-for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato
County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, sections 22 and 23.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Huntly Borough Council,
Huntly.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the taking of such lands,
and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.
