And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Featherston affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto :

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Featherston Riding of the County of Featherston affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 81, Township of Featherston; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 81, 82, 83, 84, and part of Section 85, crossing Watt Street, Waterfield Street, Johnston Street, Birdwood Street, and the Wellington-Wairarapa Railway, to the eastern side of the said railway; thence south-westerly along the eastern side of the said railway and the eastern side of Birdwood Street to the northernmost corner of Section 110, Township of Featherston; thence south-easterly along the northern boundary of the said Section 110 to Hickson Street, and southerly along the western side of Hickson Street to Harrison Street; thence south-easterly along the northern side of Harrison Street to Brown Street, across Brown Street, and along the northern boundary of Section 126 to Murphy’s Line; thence southerly along the western side of Murphy’s Line to the south-eastern corner of Section 285; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 285 and 284 to Donald Street, across Donald Street, and northerly along its western side to the north-eastern corner of Section 262, Township of Featherston; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Section 262 to Waitt Street; thence southerly along the eastern side of Waitt Street to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 212; thence north-westerly across Waitt Street, to and along the northern boundary of Section 212 to Lyon Street, across Lyon Street, to and along the Otaiura Stream to the northernmost corner of Section 385; thence easterly along the road forming the northern boundary of Section 338 to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 464; thence to and along the eastern boundary of Sections 464 and 516 to the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block III, Wairarapa Survey District, on plan 333/5 deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Section 1 to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 66, Township of Featherston; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Section 81, Township of Featherston, the point of commencement.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF FEATHERSTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the summit of the Tararua Range due west of the source of the Hecter River; thence by a right line due east to the source of the said Hecter River; thence down the right bank of that river to its confluence with the Waiohina River; and thence down the right bank of the Waiohina River to its confluence with the Ruamahanga River; thence by the right bank of the Ruamahanga River to a point opposite the mouth of the Pohaturiki Stream; thence to and along that stream to the north-western corner of Section 56, Block VI, Huararua Survey District; thence along the northern boundaries generally of Sections 56 and 58, Block VI aforesaid, Sections 60 and 61, Block VII, Huararua Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Lot 1 on plan 2525, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, to the Whangaehu Stream; thence along the Whangaehu Stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1, Mahupuku Settlement; thence south-easterly along the southern boundaries of Sections 1 and 5 of the said Mahupuku Settlement to the western boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Wainuioru Survey District; thence along the western and southern boundaries of the said Section 3, Block IX, Wainuioru Survey District, to the Wainuioru River; thence down the middle of the Wainuioru River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 288, Block X, Wainuioru Survey District; thence to and along that boundary, and the eastern boundary of Section 259, Block X aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of said Section 259; thence easterly along a public road forming the southern boundary of Sections 284 and 285,

Block X, Wainuioru Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 286A; thence southerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 290, Block X aforesaid, to its south-eastern corner; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Section 290 and its production to the middle of the Wainuioru River; thence down the middle of the Wainuioru River and up the middle of the Pahaoa River to the stream forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 301, Block XIV, Wainuioru Survey District; thence along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 301; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Sections 301 and 302 to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence south-easterly along the northern boundaries of Sections E.R. 222, Block II, and E.R. 223, Block III, Mt. Adams Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section E.R. 223 aforesaid and the eastern boundary of Section E.R. 227, Block II, Mt. Adams Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the northern boundaries of Section 290, Block II, and Sections 231 and 232, Block VII, Mt. Adams Survey District, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Section 232 aforesaid, the north-eastern boundary of Section 213, and the eastern boundary of Section 168, Block VII aforesaid, to the Waihingaia Stream; thence down that stream to the sea; thence southerly generally along the sea-coast to a point on the western shore of Palliser Bay in line with the southern boundary of the State forest reserve; thence to and along that boundary to the summit of the Rimutaka Range; thence northerly generally along the summit of the Rimutaka and Tararua Ranges to a point due west of the source of the Hecter River, the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the boroughs of Featherston, Greytown, and Martinborough.


THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE FEATHERSTON RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF FEATHERSTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the summit of Mt. Marchant in the Rimutaka Range; thence by a line bearing 135° from the summit of Mt. Marchant to the middle of the Tauherenikau River; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 103, Block VII, Wairarapa Survey District; thence towards the south by a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 103 aforesaid; and thence by the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 103 aforesaid; thence towards the south-west generally by the western boundary-lines of Sections 105 and 43, the abutment of a road, and by the southern boundary-lines of Sections 31, 22, and 21, Block VII aforesaid, to Lake Road; thence towards the west by the said Lake Road to the Otaiura Stream at the crossing of the Wellington-Masterton Railway-line; thence again towards the south by the said Otaiura Stream to the Rimutaka Road in Section 503, Block II, Wairarapa Survey District; thence by the said Rimutaka Road to the summit of the Rimutaka Range; and thence northerly along the summit of the range to the place of commencement, excluding therefrom the Borough of Featherston.
