Declaring Road-lines intersecting Land in Streamlands Settlement, North Auckland Land District, to be closed, and the Land comprised therein to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS a report has been received from the Surveyor-General from which it appears that the roads described in the Schedule hereto are unformed and unused, and that the said roads intersect land acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and are not suitable to the subdivision of such land:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and six of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby close the roads hereinafter described; and I do hereby declare that the land comprised in the said roads shall thereupon become subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-RODNEY COUNTY. APPROXIMATE area of road to be closed :—

A. R. P. Adjoining or passing through 0 1 6 Part Allotment 12, Kourawhero Parish. 0 2 38 Part Allotment 12, Kourawhero Parish. Situated in Block X, Mahurangi Survey District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/1709, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2884, and thereon coloured green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 18th day of November, 1940.

Declaring Crown Land in the Canterbury Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the "said land") is Crown land not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but is adjacent to certain lands acquired under the said Act, and known as the Waimate Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the Canterbury District Land Board, do hereby declare the said land to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that it shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Waimate Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT. Blocks XIII and XIV.—Waimate Survey District. PART Lot 1, D.P. 1274, containing 275 acres 1 rood 30 perches, being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 220, folio 90, Canterbury Registry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 15th day of November, 1940.
