Bruce.—All that road or portion of road in the Kaitieke County, commencing at its junction with the Bruce Main Highway at the parking-ground near the northern boundary of Block VII, Ruapehu Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction and terminating at the parking-ground in Block VII, Ruapehu Survey District, 50 chains beyond the Salt Hut, being a distance of 2 miles 5 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 109374, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 10.
Masterton-Castlepoint via Tinui.—All that road or portion of road in the counties of Masterton and Castlepoint, commencing at its junction with the Masterton-Weber via Alfredton Main Highway near Te Ore Ore and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at Castlepoint at the western boundary of Reserve 852, Block X, Castlepoint Survey District, being a distance of 40 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106803, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of November, 1940.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
Pursuant to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native reservation for the common use of the Pukerangiora tribe as a marae and meeting-place.

Increasing Borrowing-powers of Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of November, 1940.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty-one of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General in Council may, on application of any Fire Board established under the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, extend the powers of that Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twentieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette on the fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty, at page 643, the powers of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board were extended, but not so as to exceed the sum of two hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds:
And whereas application has been made by the said Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board for further extension of borrowing-powers and it is desirable to grant such request:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the powers of the said Board to borrow moneys in excess of the limits fixed by the said section thirty-one are hereby extended, but so as not to exceed the sum of two hundred and forty thousand pounds: Provided that no moneys as aforesaid shall be borrowed except subject to the provisions of the Fire Brigades Act, 1926, and its amendments.

Boundaries of Borough of Foxton and County of Manawatu altered.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of November, 1940.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area be excluded from the Borough of Foxton and included in the County of Manawatu:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said area be excluded from the Borough of Foxton and included in the County of Manawatu:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration of boundaries recommended by the said Commission:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and forty-one, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Foxton and included in the County of Manawatu.
SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF FOXTON AND INCLUDED IN COUNTY OF MANAWATU.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded on the north, east, and south generally by the boundary of the Borough of Foxton from the easternmost corner of Section 313, Township of Foxton, to the eastern side of Nye Street; thence along the production of the eastern side of Nye Street to the north-eastern side of Union Street; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side of Union Street to the south-eastern boundary of Section 215, Township of Foxton ; thence along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 215; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Lots 10 and 11, D.P. 2804, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 11 aforesaid, to Cook Street; thence by a right line across Cook Street to the south-eastern corner of Lot 12, D.P. 2804 aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 12 aforesaid, Section 514, the abutment of a road, Section 493, Township of Foxton, and Lot 1, D.P. 10437, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence by a right line across “The Avenue” to the north-western side of Spring Street; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of Spring Street aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of Section 313, Township of Foxton, the place of commencement.

Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown holding the offices stated opposite their names respectively in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.
