DECLARING Portions of Road in the City of Auckland
to be under the Control and Management of the
Auckland City Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of
November, 1940.
Present : His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in
him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf,
His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby order and declare that the portions of
road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, be under the
control and management of the Auckland City Council.

Authorizing the Waitemata County Council to Reclaim Land
in Otitori Bay, Titirangi, Manukau Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day
of November, 1940.
Present : His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by section one hundred and
sixty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter
called “the said Act”), that the Governor-General may
from time to time, by Order in Council, authorize any local
authority or Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea areas,
not exceeding five acres in extent, in any case where he
considers that the reclamation will not affect navigation
and is for the benefit of the public :
And whereas the Waitemata County Council (hereinafter
called “the Council”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea
certain land in Otitori Bay, Titirangi, Manukau Harbour,
and the said reclamation is of such nature as aforesaid,
and the Council has applied to the Governor-General in
Council for an order authorizing the execution of the said
harbour-works ;
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-
General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend
to the injury of navigation, and is for the benefit of the
public :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act,
and acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize
and empower the Council to reclaim from the sea in
Otitori Bay, Titirangi, Manukau Harbour, the area of land
coloured red on plan marked M.D. 8018 and deposited in
the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such
reclamation to be carried out and constructed in accordance
with the said plan marked M.D. 8018.

Licensing Ernest Richard Lane to use and occupy a Part of
the Foreshore at Picton, Queen Charlotte Sound, as a Site
for a Jetty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day
of November, 1940.
Present : His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act, 1923, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby license
and permit Ernest Richard Lane, of Picton (hereinafter
called “the licensee,” which term shall include his executors,
administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a
different construction), to use and occupy a part of the
foreshore and land below low-water mark at Picton, Queen
Charlotte Sound, as shown on plan marked M.D. 6195,
approved on the first day of November, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-six, and deposited in the office of the
Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of
maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such
license to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and
subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE.
(1) This license is subject to the Foreshore License Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall,
so far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the license shall be fourteen years from the
1st day of November, 1940.
(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be one
pound (£1), and the annual sum so payable, two pounds (£2).
(4) The master of all vessels loading ballast at the said
jetty shall deposit such ballast above high-water mark
or at such place as may be approved by the Minister, or by
any person appointed by the Minister for that purpose.

Wanganui River Trust and Wanganui River Trust Board
abolished.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 20th day of
November, 1940.
Present : His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twenty-eight of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal Act, 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby fix the thirtieth day of November,
one thousand nine hundred and forty, as the date on which
the Wanganui River Trust constituted by the Wanganui
River Trust Act, 1891, and the Wanganui River Trust Board
constituted pursuant to section four of the Wanganui River
Trust Amendment Act, 1922, shall be deemed to be abolished.
