WAITAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1940, £10,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Waitaki County Council resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds) authorized to be raised by the Waitaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Waitaki County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property of the special-rating area comprising the whole of the County of Waitaki, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify the above to be a true copy of a resolution passed by the Waitaki County Council on the 25th day of October, 1940.

I, ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYSCE, of Anzac Avenue, Auckland, heretofore called and known as ANTHONY LUBOMIR VOYKOVICH hereby give public notice that by deed-poll bearing date the 26th day of October, 1940, and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, Auckland Registry, I did, with the consent of the Hon. the Minister of Internal Affairs, formerly renounce and abandon the surname of "Voykovich" and did adopt and take the surname of "Voysce" to the end and intent that in all legal documents and for all purposes whatsoever I shall hereinafter be known and designated by the name Anthony Lubomir Voysce instead of the name Anthony Lubomir Voykovich.

PURSUANT to the Change of Name Emergency Regulations 1939, the Minister of Internal Affairs doth hereby grant exemption from these regulations—namely, exemption from any prohibition implied by the effect of the said regulations upon Anthony Lubomir Voykovich, of Anzac Avenue, Auckland, against assuming by deed-poll or otherwise the name of Anthony Lubomir Voysce or against registering any such deed in the Supreme Court or advertising such deed or the said change of name in the Gazette or elsewhere.

GREYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Redemption Loan, £10,400, 1940.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Greymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the instalments of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of £10,400 authorized to be raised by the Greymouth Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the outstanding balance of the Repayment Loan (formerly the General Purposes and the Overdraft Loans) of £14,400, the said Greymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal six three nine two one of a penny (0.63921d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Greymouth excluding the rateable property in the Cobden area of the said borough, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I, Frederick Arthur Kitchingham, Mayor of the Borough of Greymouth, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Greymouth Borough Council held on the 4th day of November, 1940.
