Gramophones, Limited (in liquidation), will be held
at the offices of Messrs. Swan and Spencer, Public Accountants,
First Floor, Lister Building, Victoria Street East, Auckland,
on Tuesday, 17th December, 1940, at 11 a.m.
Business.-To lay before the meeting an account of the
winding-up showing how such winding-up has been conducted
and property of the company disposed of.

MILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Milton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £9,000 authorized to be
raised by the Milton Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing entirely the
wood-stave water-reticulation pipes with reinforced concrete
or Everite pipes in the Borough of Milton for the carrying-
out of which a loan of £9,000 was authorized by the ratepayers
of the said borough, the said Milton Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of eightpence in the pound
upon the rateable value being the annual value of all rate-
able property in the Borough of Milton comprising the whole
of the said borough, and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off."
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct
copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Milton Borough
Council held on the 9th day of October, 1940.
