Also all that road or portion of road in the Vincent County, commencing opposite the western boundary of Section 3, Block V, Lower Wanaka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction by way of the Hawea-Makarora Road, passing generally along the western side of Lake Hawea to the Neck Lagoon, thence generally along the eastern side of Lake Wanaka, and terminating near the Makarora Homestead opposite the north-eastern boundary of Section 34795, McKerrow Survey District, being a distance of 33 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 88722, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 17.
Dunedin-Gore.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Taieri, Bruce, and Clutha, commencing at the south-western boundary of the City of Dunedin and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly and north-westerly direction via Green Island, Allanton, Henley, Milton, Balclutha, Clinton, and Waipahi (via Lerwick and Brury Streets and Tapanui Road), but excluding those portions in the Boroughs of Green Island, Milton, and Balclutha, and terminating at the western boundary of the Clutha County, being a distance of 76 miles 35 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Green Island Borough, commencing at the eastern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction via the Main South Road and terminating at the western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 2 miles 58 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107610, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Milton Borough, commencing at the northern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via the Main South Road and Union Street and terminating at the south-western boundary of the said borough at the Tokomairiro River, being a distance of 77 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107614, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Balclutha, commencing at the northern-east boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Clutha Street, Hasborough Place, Clutha River Bridge, River Terrace, Clyde Street, and the Main South Road and terminating at the western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 31 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107613, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Milton-Queenstown.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Bruce and Tuapeka, commencing at its junction with the Dunedin-Gore Main Highway at Clarkesville and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Waitahuna, Lawrence, Miller’s Flat, and Roxburgh, but excluding those portions in the Boroughs of Lawrence and Roxburgh, and terminating at the northern boundary of the Tuapeka County, being a distance of 70 miles 78 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Lawrence, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Sowerby Street, Harrington Place, Whitehaven Street, Ross Place, and Beaumont Road, and terminating at the north-western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 35 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107612, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Borough of Roxburgh, commencing at the southern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a northerly and north-westerly direction via Scotland Street and terminating at the north-western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 64 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107611, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Mosgiel-Middlemarch-Dunback.—All that road or portion of road in the Taieri County, commencing at its junction with the Dunedin-Gore Main Highway near Mosgiel and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction via Mosgiel, Outram, and Middlemarch, but excluding that portion in the Mosgiel Borough, and terminating at the north-eastern boundary of the Taieri County, being a distance of 53 miles 71 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured brown.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Borough of Mosgiel, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Gordon Road and terminating at the north-western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 63 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 71272, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Rae’s Junction - McNab.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Tuapeka and Clutha, commencing at its junction with the Milton-Queenstown Main Highway at Rae’s Junction and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Edievale, Tapanui, Pomahaka, and Waikoikoi, but excluding that portion in the Tapanui Borough, and terminating at the western boundary of the Clutha County, being a distance of 35 miles 8 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Tapanui Borough, commencing at the northern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a southerly and westerly direction via Suffolk Street and Northumberland Street and terminating at the western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 21 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 71273, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Balclutha-Papatowai.—All that road or portion of road in the Clutha County, commencing at its junction with the Dunedin-Gore Main Highway near Balclutha and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Waitapeka, Romahapa, Glenomaru, Owaka, and Kalers Saddle Road and terminating at its junction with the Waikawa-Papatowai Main Highway at the north-eastern corner of Section 26, Block IV, Tautuku Survey District, being a distance of 37 miles 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107690, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Balclutha-Lawrence.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Bruce and Tuapeka, commencing at the north-western boundary of the Balclutha Borough and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction via Tuapeka Mouth and terminating at its junction with the Milton-Queenstown Main Highway near Lawrence, being a distance of 35 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Borough of Balclutha, commencing at the junction of Clutha Street and Hasborough Place and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Hasborough Place and terminating at the north-western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 29 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107613, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
Willowbank - Matheson’s Corner.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Clutha and Tuapeka, commencing at the western boundary of the Clutha County at the north-western corner of Section 7, Block 7, Greenvale Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly and north-easterly direction via the townships of Kelso and Heriot and terminating at its junction with the Rae’s Junction—McNab Main Highway at Matheson’s Corner opposite the south-western corner of Section 20, Block 11, Crookston Survey District, being a distance of 18 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107601, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Outram-Berwick.—All that road or portion of road in the Taieri County, commencing at its junction with the Mosgiel-Middlemarch-Dunback Main Highway near Outram and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction and terminating at Berwick, being a distance of 9 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 71583, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
