Kaiapoi-Waddington via Rangiora.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Eyre, Rangiora, Oxford, and Malvern, commencing at the western boundary of the Borough of Kaiapoi and proceeding thence generally in a northerly, westerly, and south-westerly direction via Rangiora, Cust, and Oxford, but excluding that portion in the Rangiora Borough, and terminating at its junction with the Christchurch-Kumara Junction Main Highway at Waddington, being a distance of 37 miles 32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108065, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Kaiapoi, commencing at the junction of North Road and Ohoka Road and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction via Ohoka Road and terminating at the western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 39 chains more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108067, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Rangiora, commencing at the southern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a northerly and westerly direction via Drain Road, Victoria Street, and High Street and terminating at the western boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 69 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108071, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Waikuku-Waikuku Beach.—All that road or portion of road in the Rangiora County, commencing at its junction with the Pictou-Christchurch Main Highway near the Waikuku Stream and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via the Waikuku Road and deviation road and terminating at the Waikuku Domain, being a distance of 1 mile 51 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108621, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured scarlet.
Aylesbury - Lake Coleridge.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Malvern and Selwyn, commencing at its junction with the Christchurch-Kumara Junction Main Highway at Aylesbury and proceeding thence generally in a westerly and north-westerly direction via Hororata and terminating at the Lake Coleridge Power-house, being a distance of 45 miles 70 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108065, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured vermilion.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 15.
Christchurch-Timaru.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Ashburton, Geraldine, and Levels, commencing at the northern boundary of the Ashburton County, at the Rakaia River and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Rakaia, Chertsey, Ashburton, Hinds, Ealing, Rangitata, Orari, Winchester, and Temuka, but excluding those portions in the Boroughs of Ashburton and Temuka, and terminating at the northern boundary of the Borough of Timaru, being a distance of 62 miles 30 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Borough of Temuka, commencing at the northern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction via King Street and terminating at the southern boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 8 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108074, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Timaru-Dunedin.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Levels and Waimate, commencing at the southern boundary of the Borough of Timaru and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via St. Andrews, Studholme Junction, and Glenavy and terminating at the southern boundary of the Waimate County, being a distance of 38 miles 32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Timaru-Cromwell via Lindis.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Levels and Mackenzie, commencing at its junction with the Christchurch-Timaru Main Highway at Washdyke and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly and south-westerly direction via Pleasant Point, Cave, Albany, Fairlie, and Burke’s Pass, but excluding that portion in the Pleasant Point Town District, and terminating at the south-western boundary of the Mackenzie County at the Ohau River Bridge, being a distance of 99 miles 28 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Also all that street or portion of street in the Pleasant Point Town District, commencing at the eastern boundary of the said town district and proceeding thence generally in a westerly direction via the Mackenzie County Road and terminating at the western boundary of the said town district, being a distance of 1 mile 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108075, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Ashburton-Rakaia Gorge.—All that road or portion of road in the Ashburton County, commencing at the north-western boundary of the Ashburton Borough and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction via Winchmore and Methven and terminating at its junction with the Darfield-Arundel Main Highway, being a distance of 26 miles 48 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Geraldine-Orari via Packham’s.—All that road or portion of road in the Geraldine County, commencing at its junction with the Hinds-Winchester via Arundel Main Highway south of Geraldine and proceeding thence generally in an easterly and south-easterly direction via Packham’s Road and terminating at the Orari Post-office, being a distance of 2 miles 64 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108073, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured carmine.
Deep Creek-Waihao Downs-Dip Creek.—All that road or portion of road in the Waimate County, commencing at its junction with the Timaru-Dunedin Main Highway north of Studholme Junction and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly, north-westerly, and north-easterly direction via Waimate, Waihao Downs, Main Waihaki Road, Hakataramea, and the left bank of the Hakataramea River, but excluding that portion in the Waimate Borough, and terminating at the road junction near Dip Creek, being a distance of 52 miles 46 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured scarlet.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Borough of Waimate, commencing at the north-eastern boundary of the said borough and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Queen Street and Gorge Road and terminating at the southern boundary of the said borough, being a distance of 1 mile 10 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108076, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured scarlet.
Darfield-Arundel.—All that road or portion of road in the Ashburton County, commencing at the northern boundary of the Ashburton County and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Alford Forest, Staveley, and Mayfield and terminating at its junction with the Hinds-Winchester via Arundel Main Highway near Arundel, being a distance of 41 miles 16 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured carmine.
Rakaia-Methven-Alford Forest.—All that road or portion of road in the Ashburton County, commencing at its junction with the Christchurch-Timaru Main Highway at Rakaia and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Methven and Boundary Road and terminating at its junction with the Darfield-Arundel Main Highway near Pudding Hill, being a distance of 28 miles 72 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Timvad-Mayfield-Valetta.—All that road or portion of road in the Ashburton County, commencing at its junction with the Christchurch-Timaru Main Highway at Timvad and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction via Maronan and Carter’s Roads to Mayfield and thence in a north-easterly direction and terminating at a point opposite the Valetta Railway-station, being a distance of 23 miles 72 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108072, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Geraldine-Orari via Raukapuka.—All that road or portion of road in the Geraldine County, commencing at its junction with the Hinds-Winchester via Arundel Main Highway at Geraldine and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via Orari Station Road and terminating at its junction with the Geraldine-Orari via Packham’s Main Highway on the south-western boundary of Section 2, Lot X, Geraldine Survey District, being a distance of
