Boundaries of Borough of Featherston and County of Featherston altered.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of September, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the Borough of Featherston and included in the County of Featherston:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said borough:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Featherston and included in the County of Featherston.

SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF FEATHERSTON AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF FEATHERSTON.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being Section 1, Block III, Wairarapa Survey District, on plan 333/5, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; bounded on the north-east by Section 66, Township of Featherston, on the south-east by Harrison Street, on the south-west by Railway land and Featherston Domain, and on the north-west by Section 516, Township of Featherston.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section six of the Native Purposes Act, 1938, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Te Kanapu Haerehuka,
Te Okeke Whenuaroa,
Tahiopipiri Moerua,
Hoko Karatau,
Hohepa Hawira,
Kehu Maraku, and
John Victor Edwin Flowers (Official Member)
to be members of the Maori Council for the Kurahaupo Maori District.

Declaring Crown Lands in the North Auckland Land District to be subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1925.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto (hereinafter referred to as the “said lands”) are Crown lands not acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, but are adjacent to certain lands acquired under the said Act, and known as the Parahi Settlement and can conveniently be disposed of therewith:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and five of the said Act, and on the recommendation of the Dominion Land Purchase Board, and after considering the report of the North Auckland District Land Board, do hereby declare the said lands to be subject to the said Act, to the intent that they shall hereupon be deemed to be portion of the said Parahi Settlement and may be disposed of accordingly.
