With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 41, dated 9th May, relative to the appointment
of officers, for “2nd Lieutenant R. J. Brewster” substitute
“2nd Lieutenant P. J. Brewster.”

N.Z. Army Service Corps.

With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 1, dated 11th January, 1940, relative to the
appointment of officers, for “2nd Lieutenant C. N. Torbett”
substitute “2nd Lieutenant C. M. Torbett.”

18th Army Troops Company, N.Z. Engineers.

Major (temp.) E. R. McKillop to be Major and Officer
Commanding. Dated 20th July, 1940.

Major E. R. McKillop is seconded for special duty and
is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel
while so employed. Dated 26th August, 1940.

and transfers of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—

STAFF.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster J. W. McMurray, N.Z.
Permanent Staff, relinquishes the appointment of
Adjutant, Northern District School of Instruction, and
is appointed Chief Instructor, Northern District School
of Instruction. Dated 23rd December, 1939.

Lieutenant and Quartermaster J. F. Callagher, Regiment
of Royal N.Z. Artillery, to be Quartermaster and Assistant
Artillery Instructor, Training Regiment, Mobilization
Camp, Papakura. Dated 11th July, 1940.

N.Z. TEMPORARY STAFF.

Major C. F. Seaward, M.C., Reserve of Officers, the Auckland
Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), to be Major,
with pay and allowances of a Captain, and is posted
to the 2nd Infantry Training Battalion, Mobilization
Camp, Papakura. Dated 5th July, 1940.

Captain S. T. Seddon, M.C., Retired List, to be Captain,
and is appointed Adjutant, No. 2 Training Battalion,
Mobilization Camp, Papakura. Dated 10th June, 1940.

Captain S. T. Seddon, M.C., relinquishes the appointment
of Adjutant, No. 2 Training Battalion, Mobilization
