Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—NELSON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Murchison County, containing by admeasurement 661 acres, more or less, and being Section 42, and the western part of Section 45, Block I, Tutaki Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 114/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson plans S.O. 7590 and 9153.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of September, 1940.

Authorizing Bay of Islands County Council to fix Water Charges according to Quantity used.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 25th day of September, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the sixteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, and published in the Gazette on the seventeenth day of the same month, at page 286, there were conferred on the Bay of Islands County Council in respect of portions of the County of Bay of Islands all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted Borough Council under sections eighty-two to eighty-four, eighty-six to eighty-eight, Part XX (with the exception of sections two hundred and fifty-one, two hundred and fifty-three, and two hundred and fifty-four), and section three hundred and forty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933 :
And whereas it is expedient that further powers be conferred on the said Bay of Islands County Council in respect of that portion of the County of Bay of Islands described in the Schedule hereto :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eighty-two of the Counties Act, 1920, and section eighty-five of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby confer on the said Bay of Islands County Council all the powers of a Borough Council under the said section eighty-five of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and doth hereby accordingly consent to the said Bay of Islands County Council making and levying over that portion of the County of Bay of Islands described in the Schedule hereto water rates and charges in respect both of the ordinary as well as of any extraordinary supply, according to the quantity of water consumed by any person receiving the same as measured by meter, at such rates or charges as may from time to time be fixed by any by-law of the Council in that behalf, or as may be agreed on with any such person.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in Block XV, Kawakawa Survey District, commencing at the north-east corner of Lot 81 of D.P. 6732 ; thence in a south-easterly direction by the eastern boundaries of Lots 81, 58 to 73 of the said D.P. 6732 ; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 73 to the south-east corner of Lot 56, D.P. 6732 ; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 56 and Lot 19 to Pembroke Street ; thence by the eastern boundary of Pembroke Street in a south-easterly direction to the south-east corner of Lot 21, D.P. 6732 ; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 21 and Lot 34 of D.P. 6732 to the south-west corner of Lot 21, D.P. 16531 ; thence in a north-westerly direction by the western boundaries of Lots 21 to 9 of D.P. 16531 and Lot 1 of D.P. 16531 to the north-west corner of Lot 1 of D.P. 16531 ; thence by the northern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, D.P. 16531, and Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, and 38 to the north-east corner of the said Lot 38 ; thence by the eastern boundary of the Otiria Road to the south-east corner of Lot 8 of D.P. 26359 ; thence by the southern boundaries of Lots 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, D.P. 26359, to the south-west corner of the said Lot 1, D.P. 26359 ; thence to the north-west corner of the said Lot 1 ; thence in an easterly direction by the northern boundaries of Lots 1 to 8 of D.P. 26359 and Lots 74 to 81 of D.P. 6732, to the commencing point.

Order under Section 6 of the Visiting Forces Act, 1939.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
FOR the purposes of section 6 of the Visiting Forces Act, 1939, and in accordance with the terms of subsection five of that section, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the military forces of New Zealand which are serving outside New Zealand during or in respect of the present war shall be deemed to be serving together and acting in combination with the military forces of His Majesty raised in the United Kingdom or in the Commonwealth of Australia.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of September, 1940.
