A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road in Huangarua Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 3 roods 13 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections Nos. 3, 14, and 15, Longbush Settlement.
Situated in Block VIII, Huangarua Survey District. (S.O. 20479.)
In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106894, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the Wellington-Napier Railway, and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Westland Land District, Grey County, containing approximately 68,000 acres, being parts of Provisional State Forests 1606 and 1607 (642 acres and 17 acres respectively, national endowment provisional State forest) and Crown land, 67,341 acres, situated in Blocks III, IV, VIII, and XII, Pohaturoha Survey District, and Blocks I, II, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI, Lewis Survey District, and Blocks IV and VIII, Travers Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Commencing at the intersection of the Alexander River and the Westland Land District boundary, Block IV, Pohaturoha Survey District ; thence towards the north-west and north-east by the Nelson Land District ; towards the south-east by the Canterbury Land District to a point approximately 100 chains north-east of Mount Barron ; towards the south by a line bearing 255° to the bush edge and by the bush edge to a point 56 chains due north of the south-eastern corner of Block XIII, Lewis Survey District ; towards the south-west by a right line to the north-western corner of the said Block XIII ; towards the west by Block XII, Pohaturoha Survey District ; towards the north-west by Run 625, Section 2825, and the left bank of the Brown Grey River ; towards the south-east by the left bank of the Brown Grey River, Run 625, Section 2826, and the right bank of the Upper Grey River ; towards the west by Block XII, Pohaturoha Survey District, to its north-eastern corner ; and towards the south-east and west by a State forest (7,646 acres, Gazette 1940, page 1787) ; save and excepting the Grey Valley–Maruia Road and a gravel reserve. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 121/7, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of September, 1940.
