Crown Land and Provisional State Forest set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the Crown land and provisional State forest described in the Schedule hereto as a permanent State forest.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—SOUTHLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Clutha and Southland Counties, containing by admeasurement 20,785 acres, more or less (Crown land, 277 acres, and provisional State forest—Gazette 1920, page 1804, Gazette 1922, page 945, Gazette 1924, page 2244, and Gazette 1937, page 1521— 20,508 acres), and being Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 16, Block I, Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, and 17, Block II, Sections 13, 14, 15, 16, and 25, Block III, Sections 17, 31, and 32, Block IV, the whole of the land in Blocks V and VI, Sections 1 and 2, Block VII, Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 15, Block VIII, Sections 13, 14, 15, 21A, 22, and part 18, Block X, and Sections 15, 16, 17, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, and part 18, Block XII, Tautuku Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on Plan No. 218/17, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 11th day of February, 1939.

Altering and redefining the Boundaries of the New River Hundred Rabbit District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3640.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 14th day of February, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General, at the request of the Board of any Rabbit District, may by Order in Council alter and redefine the boundaries of its district :
And whereas the district known as the New River Hundred Rabbit District has been constituted under and for the purposes of the said Act :
And whereas the Board of the said district has, pursuant to the said section thirty-one of the said Act, requested that the boundaries of its district be altered and redefined by including an additional area therein :
And whereas the consent of a majority of the persons in such additional area qualified to be enrolled on the ratepayers' list for the said district has been given to the inclusion of such additional areas in the said district :
And whereas it is deemed expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district accordingly :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby—

Alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district so constituted as aforesaid;

Declare that the boundaries of the said district shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto; and, further,
-
Declare that this Order in Council shall come into force on the day following publication hereof in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing approximately 44,500 acres, inclusive of roads and streams, being Blocks V, VII, XI, XII, XIX, XX, XXI, XXII, and parts Blocks VI, XIII, XIV, and XVI, New River Hundred, and part of Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Oreti Hundred, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the mouth of the Waimatuku Stream in Block XIX, New River Hundred; thence in a northerly direction generally along the said Waimatuku Stream to the southern boundary of Oreti Hundred; thence in an easterly direction along a public road to the north-eastern corner of Section 22, Block XX, New River Hundred ; thence in a northerly direction across a public road to and along the eastern boundary of Section 69, Block III, Oreti Hundred, to the southern boundary of Section 166, Block III, Oreti Hundred ; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said Section 166 to and across a public road ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said public road to and across Chittons Road to the south-western corner of Section 91, Block II, Oreti Hundred ; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said Section 91 and Section 92, Block II, Oreti Hundred, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 92 ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Section 92 and Section 88, Block V, Oreti Hundred, to and across McLeish's Road to the south-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 193, Block V, Oreti Hundred ; thence in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said Lot 2, to and across Kennedy's Road ; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Kennedy's Road to the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 193, Block V, Oreti Hundred ; thence in an easterly and north-easterly direction along the southern boundaries of the said Lot 1, to the north-eastern corner of Section 188, Block V, Oreti Hundred ; thence in a southerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said Section 188 and that line produced to the southern boundary of Block V, Oreti Hundred ; thence in an easterly and northerly direction along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said Block V to the south-western boundary of Section 56, Block VI, Oreti Hundred ; thence in a south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of the said Section 56 to and across Proctor's Road to the western corner of Section 54, Block VI, Oreti Hundred ; thence in a south-easterly and southerly direction along the south-western and western boundaries of the said Section 54 to the northern boundary of Block I, Oreti Hundred ; thence in a westerly direction along the northern boundary of the said Block I to and across a public road ; thence in a south-easterly direction along a public road to the Oreti River at a point in line with the

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—WELLINGTON FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, Kaitieke County, containing by admeasurement 4,020 acres 3 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Taurewa No. 4 East A 2 Block and part of Okahukura 8M 2c 1 Block (Crown land—1,170 acres 1 rood 14 perches) and Taurewa No. 4 East B Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Blocks (provisional State forest—Gazette 1934, page 414), situated in Blocks II, III, VI, VII, X, and XI, Tongariro Survey District, and bounded generally as follows : Towards the south-east and north-east by Taurewa No. 4 East A 1 Block ; towards the south-east and north-east by Okahukura No. 8M 2c 2B 2 Block ; towards the south-east by the other part of Okahukura 8M 2c 1 Block ; towards the south and south-east by a permanent State forest (Gazette 1900, page 104); towards the south-west by Taurewa No. 2 B Block, and a permanent State forest (Gazette 1900, page 104); towards the west by Taurewa No. 4 East B 5 A Block, and the Okupata Stream ; and towards the north-east by the Mangatepopo Stream ; save and excepting a road-line 50 links wide in Taurewa No. 4 East B Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Blocks. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 62/34 deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
