Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 2nd February, 1939.
THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Waipawa Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Waipawa, taken on the 20th day of January, 1939, on the proposal of the Waipawa Borough Council to borrow the sum of six hundred pounds for the purpose of kerbing and channelling 170 chains of footway :—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 78
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was .. 9
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Point Howard Water and Sewerage Loan.
I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Point Howard Special Rating District in the Wainui-o-mata Riding of the County of Hutt taken on the 26th day of January, 1939, on the proposal of the Hutt County Council to borrow the sum of £4,500 by way of a special loan to be known as the “ Point Howard Water and Sewerage Loan, 1938 ” :—

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 36
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

I HEREBY give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Point Howard Special Rating District in the Wainui-o-mata Riding of the County of Hutt taken on the 26th day of January, 1939, on the proposal of the Hutt County Council to borrow the sum of £2,000 by way of a special loan to be known as the “ Advances to Ratepayers Private Connections Loan, 1938 ” :—

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block I, Tapumutu Survey District, for the Purposes of a Quarry.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a quarry : And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whangamoa and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whangamoa and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Bannockburn and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
