The undermentioned Acting Pilot Officers are granted short service commissions in the Royal New Zealand Air Force, dated 4th January, 1938, and are confirmed in the rank of Pilot Officer, dated 4th January, 1939:—

Cheviot Wellington Dillon Bell (late Lieutenant Regular Army Reserve of Officers) to be Flight Lieutenant (on prob.) and is posted to the Royal New Zealand Air Force Reserve of Officers, Section I, Class B. Dated 13th December, 1938.

to be Gaoler of His Majesty’s Prison, Wellington, for the purposes of section 5 of the Prisons Act, 1908, as from the 1st day of February, 1939.
