HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 12.

Westport—Karama.—All that portion of road in the Buller County, commencing at its junction with the Westport-Karama Main Highway in Block II, Kawatiri Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction and terminating at its junction with the Westport-Karama Main Highway, being a distance of 79 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 103793, deposited in the office of the Main High-ways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Reefton—Hammer Junction.—All that portion of road in the Inangahua County, commencing at its junction with the Inangahua Junction—Waiho Main Highway, in the Township of Reefton, and proceeding generally in a south-easterly direction, and terminating at Springs Junction, being a distance of 28 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 71523, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, marked P-Q thereon, and coloured black.

Also all that portion of road in the Inangahua County, commencing at Springs Junction and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction along the left bank of the Maruia River and terminating at Lewis Pass, being a distance of 14 miles 50 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 103360, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 13.

Reefton—Hammer Junction.—All that portion of road in the Amuri County commencing at Lewis Pass on the north-western corner of Block VII, Boyle Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction through Blocks VII, VI, X, XI, XV, and XIV, Boyle Survey District, and Block II, Skiddaw Survey District, and terminating on the right bank of the Boyle River, being a distance of 10 miles 4 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 100963, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 15.

Lake Pukaki—Hermitage—Ball Hut.—All that portion of road in Mackenzie County commencing at its junction with the Timaru-Queenstown via Tekapo and Lindis Pass Main Highway and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction and terminating at the Mount Cook Hermitage, being a distance of 36 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 71562, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that portion of road in Mackenzie County, commencing at its junction with the Coach Road, approximately 60 chains south-east of The Hermitage, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly, then north-easterly direction, and terminating at the Ball Hut, being a distance of 11 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 103790, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 17.

Waiwera Railway-station—Clydevale.—All that portion of road in the Clutha County, commencing at a point opposite the Waiwera Railway-station, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction, and terminating at its junction with the Dunedin-Invercargill Main Highway in Section 12, Block 99, Clutha Survey District, being a distance of 1 mile 20 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 71588, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Also all that portion of road in the Clutha and Bruce Counties, commencing at its junction with the Dunedin-Invercargill Main Highway at a point opposite the southern corner of Section 58, Block 7, Pomahaka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction and terminating at its junction with the Balclutha—Taupaka Mouth Main Highway, being a distance of 10 miles, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. No. 103788, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured black and green.

The Southern side of Portion of Bentley Street, in the Borough of Masterton, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of August, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Masterton Borough Council on the twentieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, viz.:

"The Masterton Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the Borough of Masterton, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the southern side of that portion of street known as Bentley Street, adjoining parts Lot 35, D.P. 38, of parts of Sections 57 and 58, Masterton Small Farm Settlement";

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the portion of Bentley Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said street.

SCHEDULE.

The southern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Masterton, known as Bentley Street, adjoining parts Lot 35, D.P. 38, of parts of Sections 57 and 58, Masterton Small Farm Settlement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103113, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Waitara Borough Council authorized to grant a Lease of certain Land.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of August, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on him by section one hundred and ninety-four of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby approve of the Waitara Borough Council granting to the Education Board of the District of Taranaki, a lease of that portion of a closed street described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Borough of Waitara, to be used as a recreation-ground for school-children.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land situated in the Land District of Taranaki, containing by admeasurement one acre two roods, more or less, being that portion of closed street in the Borough of Waitara being formerly that portion of Broadway lying between McLean Street and Parris Street, and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Vol. 144, folio 156 (Taranaki Registry).
