SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Waikato County, containing by admeasurement 688 acres, more or less, being Provisional State Forest No. 80 (Gazette 1920, page 2117), and being Allotment 500, Taupiri Parish, situated in Blocks III and VII, Hapuakohe Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 25/26, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered green. (Auckland plan S.O. 13483.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of July, 1939.

Authorizing the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim Land and construct a Boat-harbour at Okahu Bay, in Auckland Harbour.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of July, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by the one hundred and seventy-ninth section of the Harbours Act, 1923 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that where a Harbour Board is desirous of executing or constructing upon lands vested in such Board or upon lands of the Crown, any harbour-works of such a nature that the same could, but for this section, only be carried out and executed under the authority of a special Act, the Board may apply to the Governor-General in Council for a special order, and, if the Governor-General in Council thinks fit, such order may be made and granted: And whereas the Auckland Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land, and of constructing a boat-harbour in Okahu Bay, in Auckland Harbour, and the said harbour-works are of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Board has applied to the Governor-General in Council for a special order authorizing the execution of the said harbour-works:

And whereas all the conditions precedent to the granting of a special order prescribed by section one hundred and seventy-nine of the said Act have been duly complied with:

And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the proposed works will not be or tend to the injury of navigation:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section one hundred and seventy-nine of the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize and empower the Board to reclaim from the sea in Auckland Harbour all the lands shown coloured red on plan marked M.D. 7803, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and to construct a boat-harbour in Okahu Bay, in Auckland Harbour; such reclamation and boat-harbour to be carried out and constructed in accordance with plan marked M.D. 7803, subject to the provisions of the said Act; and the said harbour-works shall be completed within the period of five years computed from the date of this Order in Council.

Authorizing the Martha Gold Mining Coy. (Waihi), Ltd., to erect certain Electric Lines in Portion of the Borough of Waihi.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of July, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Martha Gold Mining Coy. (Waihi), Ltd. (a company incorporated in England, and having its place of business for New Zealand at Auckland) (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  1. LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be classified in accordance with paragraph (f) of Regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935. The voltage of transmission over the lines hereby authorized shall be approximately 11,000 volts.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1960.

SCHEDULE.

LINES adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the licensee’s substation situated in Britannia Special Quartz Claim (License No. 335), and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 17¾ chains through that claim and the Martha Special Quartz Claim (License No. 333), to a point in the last-mentioned claim adjacent to the western side of the public road known as Junction Road and opposite the south-western corner of Section 327; thence north-easterly for a distance of approximately 2 chains across Junction Road to a point on the western boundary of Section 327; thence north-easterly generally through that section and Grand Junction Special Quartz Claim (License No. 329) and the Waka Special Quartz Claim for a distance of approximately 18 chains to the licensee’s power-station known as the Grand Junction Power-house, situated adjacent to the Public Works Department’s power-house; all being situated in the Borough of Waihi, and being more particularly delineated by means of a red line on plan marked P.W.D. 102680, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
