such last-mentioned stream to its confluence with the Waikato
River; thence towards the east by a line along the middle
of the Waikato River to the mouth of Mystery Creek; thence
towards the south generally by the south-eastern boundary
of the Rukuhia Riding of the Waipa County as described
in the New Zealand Gazette 1922, page 1575, to the north-
east corner of Allotment 362, Te Rapa Parish; thence by the

of the Parish of Pirongia; thence towards the south by
Allotments 250, 240, 239, 226, 212, 211, and 210, to the eastern
boundary of Allotment 128A of the Parish of Pirongia; thence
towards the west by Allotment 128A, to and across a public
road and by Allotment 331A, to and across a public road
and along the eastern side of that road to the westernmost
corner of Allotment 221 of the Parish of Pirongia; thence
towards the south by a road to the western corner of Allot-
ment 273 of the Parish of Pirongia; thence towards the east
generally by the boundaries of the Te Awamutu Electric-
power District as described in the New Zealand Gazette 1936,
page 884, to the northern boundary of the County of Kawhia;
thence towards the south generally by the northern boundary
of the County of Kawhia to the Aotea Harbour; thence by
the northern and western shores of Aotea Harbour to the
Tasman Sea; thence towards the west by the Tasman Sea,
to and across the entrance of the Whaingaroa Harbour, and
again towards the west by the Tasman Sea to a point where
a line drawn due west from the north-western corner of Te
Akau B 15 B 1 Block meets the Tasman Sea; thence to the
northward by the aforesaid line to the north-western corner
of Te Akau B 15 B 1 Block and the northern boundaries of
Te Akau B 15 B 1 aforesaid, and Te Akau No. B 17; thence
towards the west by the western boundary of Section 1,
Block XIV, Awaroa Survey District; thence towards the
north by the northern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, and 3,
Block XIV, Awaroa Survey District, and Te Akau B No. 23B;
thence towards the north-east by the eastern boundaries of
Te Akau B No. 23B, Section 5, Block XIV, Awaroa Survey
District, to the north-western corner of Allotment 170A,
Pepepe Parish; thence generally towards the north along
the northern boundaries of Allotment 170A, 170B 1, 215,
and 186, Pepepe Parish, and Allotment 185 and Lot 1 of
Allotment 221, Pepepe Parish, to the south-eastern corner
of Lot 4 of Allotment 88, Whangape Parish; thence generally
towards the west by the western boundary of the Pukemiro
Riding of the County of Raglan as described in the New
Zealand Gazette 1920, page 1772, to the mouth of the Awaroa
Stream where it enters the Whangape Lake; thence by the
north-western shore of Whangape Lake to the south-eastern
corner of Allotment No. 67B 2 of the Parish of Whangape;
thence by the eastern boundary of the said Allotment No. 67B 2
and Allotments 67B 3B, 67B 3A, and 67B 1 of the Parish of
Whangape, to the Opuatia Stream; thence along the Opuatia
Stream to the middle of the Waikato River at the junction
of the Opuatia Stream with the last-mentioned river; thence
by a line along the middle of the Waikato River in a northerly
direction to the confluence of that river and the Whanga-
marino River; thence up the middle of the Whangamarino
River, the Maramarua River, and the Mangatangi Stream to
its intersection with the Mercer-Pukorokoro Road; thence
easterly along the middle of that road to Allotment 82,
Parish of Koheroa, and along the western and northern
boundaries of that allotment to the Firth of Thames at the
mouth of the Pukorokoro Creek; thence southerly generally
along the confiscation boundary-line to the point of commence-
ment, excepting from the above-described area that portion
of the Borough of Hamilton as described in the New Zealand
Gazette 1917, page 246; the said area being more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103953, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and
thereon bordered green.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests
Act, 1921-22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve
No. 37, set apart by Proclamation dated the first day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty one, and
gazetted on the third day of that month, as amended by
Proclamation dated the thirtieth day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-seven, and gazetted on the nine-
teenth day of May of that year, is required for settlement
purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the
said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the
gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and
shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act,
1924.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
RUN No. 446, Rimu Survey District: Area, 1,450 acres,
more or less.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George
Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto
shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of
Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.--TOWN OF CROMWELL.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing 1 acre
and 1 rood, more or less, being part of Block VII, Town of
Cromwell: Bounded towards the north-east by Donegal
Street, bearing 104° 39' 20", 300 links; towards the south-
east by other part of said Block VII, bearing 194° 39' 20",
250 links; bearing 284° 39' 20", 100 links; bearing 194° 39'
20", 250 links; towards the south-west by Inniscourt Street,
bearing 284° 39' 20", 200 links; and towards the north-west
by Achil Street, bearing 14° 39' 20", 500 links. As the
same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. 30/228/83, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
