Formation of a Unit of the Territorial Force.

Wellington, 14th July, 1939.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve, under section 6 (a), Defence Act, 1909, of the formation of the undermentioned unit of the Territorial Force:-

Regiment of New Zealand Artillery, 23rd Heavy Battery, with headquarters at Christchurch.

Dated 1st June, 1939.

Army Department, Wellington, 14th July, 1939.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to accept the services of the undermentioned Defence Rifle Club, under section 43, Defence Act, 1909:-

Wimbledon Wainui Defence Rifle Club, with headquarters at Wimbledon, Hawke's Bay.
