It is hereby notified that the undermentioned persons have been appointed to be the Deputies of the Registrars of Marriages and of Births and Deaths for the districts set respectively opposite their names, viz.:

Declaring Additional Area to be Part of the Levin Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be part of the Levin Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area defined by notice given under my hand on the 6th day of July, 1939, and published in the Gazette on the same day, at page 1955, do hereby declare the additional area of land defined in the said Schedule to be part of the Levin Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area accordingly, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 27th day of July, 1939.

SCHEDULE.

LEVIN BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.—ADDITIONAL AREA.

Kuku-Manakau District.

All that area of land lying entirely within the Horowhenua County and bounded by a line commencing at the commencement of the South Manakau Road; thence following the said road in a westerly direction to the point where it joins the Main Wellington Highway Road; thence continuing along the Main Highway Road from the junction in a southerly direction to the point where it crosses the Main Trunk Railway-line by the overhead bridge, taking in farms on both sides having direct access to this point; thence from the overhead bridge taking a straight line across country in a north-westerly direction to meet the Wairongomai Trig. Station on the western foreshore facing the Tasman Sea; thence from this point continuing along the foreshore in a northerly direction to the northern head of the Ohau River; thence following the said river upstream generally in an easterly direction to the foothills of the Tararua Range; thence from this point taking a straight line up the range to the Tawirikohukohu Trig. Station; thence from the said trig. station taking a straight line in a southerly direction along the top of the range to the Waiopehu Trig. Station; thence continuing in the same direction to the Oriwa Trig. Station; thence from this point continuing the line to the base of the range at the commencement of the South Manakau Road, the original point of commencement.

Approval of Testing Officer under the Motor-drivers' Regulations 1931.

In terms of regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers' Regulations 1931, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Notification of Approval of Amended Rule.—Waimarino Acclimatization Society.

Pursuant to the provisions of section 25 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby notify that copies of the amended rule made by the Waimarino Acclimatization Society on 13th January, 1939, have been forwarded to him, and were approved on the 15th day of July, 1939.
