All that area of land comprising the Whatawhata Township area situated in the Waipa County.

NOTICE has been received under the hand of the Chairman of the Waitemata Bobby Calf Committee established by the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, that Douglas Charles Adamson, Lewis Stewart Denham, John Littlejohn, Albert Ernest Sainsbury, Ernest William Cross, James Alexander McGill, and Stanley John Jenks have been duly elected to be members of the said committee pursuant to the provisions in that behalf of the said regulations.

NOTICE has been received under the hand of the Chairman of the Otorohanga Bobby Calf Committee established by the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, that Walter Alexander Lee, George William Laurence Palmer, Conway Grey Murphy, Herbert Eli Martin, Henry Ingledue Shanks, Lewis Oakden, Alfred Theodore Cowley, George Stephen Whibiey, and Walter Irving Bowyer have been duly elected to be members of the said committee pursuant to the provisions in that behalf of the said regulations.

PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, do hereby declare the respective bobby calf marketing pool areas contained in the Schedule hereto and defined by notice given under the hand of the Minister of Marketing on the 30th day of June, 1938, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the same day, at page 1587, to be duly cancelled as pool areas, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 29th day of June, 1939.

It is hereby notified that Wednesday, 2nd August, 1939, is to be observed as Arbor Day, and in view of the national importance of tree-planting, local bodies throughout New Zealand are requested to organize suitable celebrations on that date.
Where on account of local climatic conditions in any district the 2nd August is deemed unsuitable, the local bodies affected are invited to observe some other suitable day in that month.

The Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, and its Amendments.- Cancelling Notice fixing the Closing-hours of all Chemists’ Shops in the Borough of Masterton.
WHEREAS a requisition in writing signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the chemists’ shops in the Borough of Masterton has been forwarded to me desiring that the notice gazetted on the 23rd day of March, 1922, fixing the closing-hours of all the chemists’ shops in the Borough of Masterton, be cancelled:
And whereas, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, am satisfied that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the said shops in the said Borough:
Now, therefore, in pursuance of section 32 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921-22, I do hereby direct that the abovementioned notice shall be and is hereby cancelled as from the 17th day of July, 1939.

Notice of Intention to take Additional Land in the Borough of Westport for Housing Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Westport and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood.
Being Section 990, Town of Westport.
Situated in the Borough of Westport (Nelson R.D.).
