ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1939.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Hutt County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Hutt County.

And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto commonly known as the Epuni Riding of the County of Hutt—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Hutt County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District comprising the Epuni Riding of the Hutt County as at present constituted, and as the same is described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1926, page 72.

Boundaries of Borough of Motueka and County of Waimea altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 9th day of June, 1939.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the Borough of Motueka and included in the County of Waimea:

And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section held inquiries and recommended that the said area, with an alteration of boundaries thereof, be excluded from the Borough of Motueka and included in the County of Waimea:

And whereas it is expedient to make the alteration of boundaries recommended by the said Commission:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Motueka and included in the County of Waimea.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA AND INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAIMEA.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Section 126 N.R.; thence easterly along that boundary to its south-eastern corner; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Sections 127 N.R. and 129 N.R. to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence easterly across a public road and along the southern boundary of Section 29 to high-water mark of the sea; thence southerly generally along high-water mark of the sea to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 136 N.R.; thence to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Thorp Street; thence northerly along the middle of Thorp Street to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 131; thence to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of High Street North; thence southerly along the middle of High Street North to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 134; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 134; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 134 and 157 to the northern boundary of Section 159; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Section 159 aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 186; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 186 to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 1534 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Nelson; thence along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of Lot 1 aforesaid to its northernmost corner; thence along the right bank of the Motueka River as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1901, page 231, to the south-western corner of Section 126 N.R., the point of commencement.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area of land be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration of the boundaries of the said city:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Waimairi and included in the City of Christchurch.

SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF WAIMAIRI AND INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-western side of Shirley Road and the western side of Hills Road at a point on the present boundary of the City of Christchurch; thence proceeding northerly across Shirley Road along the western side of Hills Road aforesaid to the northern boundary of part Lot I on plan 8784 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence along the northern, western, and southern boundaries of the said part Lot I on plan 8784 to the centre of Dudley Creek; thence south-westerly generally along the centre of that creek to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot I, plan 9658, deposited as aforesaid; thence along the north-western boundaries of Lot 34 and the said Lot I, plan 9658, to and across Shirley Road to the said city boundary; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the point of commencement.
