MANUREWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing council chambers and carrying out improvements to the Manurewa Public Hall, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Manurewa ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of May and the 15th day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the members of the above-named company has been summoned for the purpose of passing a resolution for voluntary winding up, and that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held at the office of Messrs, John L. Arcus and Sons, 23 Waring-Taylor Street, Wellington, on the 19th day of May, 1939, at 3 o'clock in the afternoon.
Business: Consideration of the statement of position, &c.; nomination of liquidator.

LAWRENCE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Reconditioning Water-Mains Loan, 1939, £1,500.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Lawrence Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500), authorized to be raised by the Lawrence Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconditioning the borough water-mains under the “ Tute ” process and for incidental costs, the said Lawrence Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence (6d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Lawrence, comprising the whole of the Borough of Lawrence, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, JOHN MAURICE WHEELIHAN, M.B., Ch.M., Sydney Univ., 1926, now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 8th June next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

MOUNT MAUNGANUI TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Mount Maunganui Town Board resolves as follows :-
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of (£4,000) four thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Mount Maunganui Town Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply for the town district, including the necessary appliances, service reservoir, and main reticulation, hereby makes and levies a special rate of (2d.) twopence in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value on all the rateable property in the Mount Maunganui Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August during the currency of such loan or until the said loan is fully paid off.”
Certified that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Mount Maunganui Town Board on the 13th March, 1939.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land—namely : All that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing four (4) acres two (2) roods sixteen decimal eight (16-8) perches, more or less, being portion of the block situated in Blocks III and IV of the Waihi South Survey District, called Otamarakau Native Reserve No. 2A.
A plan of the land is deposited in the post-office at Te Puke, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
