set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the
taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty
days from the first publication of this notice to the Education
Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley
Street, Auckland.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the share-
holders of L. M. Squire and Co., Limited, will be
held on the 15th day of May, 1939, at which a resolution
for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting
of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to
section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the registered
office of the company, Collingwood Street, Hamilton, on the
15th day of May, 1939, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon,
at which meeting a full statement of the position of the
company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and
the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before
the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance
of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be
the liquidator of the company and, in pursuance of section 236
of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that the originating summons
filed in this Honourable Court for the approval of
the scheme of the plaintiff for the distribution by payment
to Feltham Children's Home Trust, Inc., a society duly
incorporated under the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908,
for the general charitable purposes of the said society of

the moneys representing the legacy bequeathed by the above-
named testator to the Old's Men's Home, Hunterville, was
heard before the Honourable Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme
Court at Wellington, on Thursday, the 30th day of March,
1939, and an order was made approving the said scheme.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the
Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised
by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the erection of a modern picture-theatre, the said
Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-hundred-and-seven one-hundred-and-twelfths
of a penny (17d.) in the pound upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Waipawa Borough Council,
comprising the whole of the Borough of Waipawa, and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years
or until the loan is fully paid off."

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926,
and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the North
Auckland Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-

"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment
of principal and interest and other charges upon the North
Auckland Electric-power Board Reticulation Loan of
£100,000, 1938, authorized to be raised under the provisions
of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Finance Act, 1936
(No. 2), and the Statutes Amendment Act, 1938, for the
purpose of supplying and distributing electric energy for
the benefit of the constituent districts of Hobson County,
Whangarei County, Otamatea County, Dargaville Borough,
and Hikurangi Town, within the North Auckland Electric-
power District and for such purpose to do all or any of such
matters and things which the board is empowered to do
by the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, and its amend-
ments, the said North Auckland Electric-power Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one fortieths
(21d.) of one penny (ld.) in the pound upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the aforesaid constituent districts and that such special
rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of any part of such loan and be payable on the fifth day of
May in each and every year until the loan is fully paid off."
